Guest guest
Hi everyone. I looked in the files and saw nothing on noni juice. Anyone know anything about it? I've been trying to do some research about it on the web but only seem to find info on sites that are selling it. A friend of mine claims it works wonders and touts it as a cure-all. Anyone ever try it? Thanks in advance! -Becca(haven't posted in a VERY long time if the name seems unfamiliar!)
Guest guest
Noni does look interesting: http://www.incc.org/research2.htm Unfortunately, I haven't tried it myself. Please go ahead and give it a trial yourself, if you are so motivated, and please favor us with a report of its effects. Thanks. " E-Mail is not to be used to pass on information or data. From what I can tell this is yet another magical substance like melaleuca being sold by an MLM. Read this entertaining description by a cartoonist I enjoy reading. http://www.schlockmercenary.com/letters/d/20040115.html The reason I mention Melaleuca is that that was the magical cure-all my friends tried getting me to try years ago. All they ever got from it was a distinctive body odour and piles of unsold merchandise. But, good luck with noni. It may have some useful properties, just like melaleuca - question of how useful. Guest guest
Hi Kyber: From what I have seen of noni my view is that it does seem to have all the characteristics typical of fringe medicine hype. That said, here is an anecdote: I met a friend I hadn't seen for a year. He looked fit, healthy and enthusiastic and very slim. No one would have called him 'slim' previously - like many people he used to be, for a guess, about fifteen pounds above the 'conventional wisdom' ideal weight. No, he had not adopted CRON. He told me that he had had melanoma. He then said: " I was going down hill rapidly, and as soon as I started on noni juice, my weight immediately stabilized and I am now slowly regaining weight and feel fine " . I guess if I had melanoma I'd try noni juice too. But remissions are probably common in melanoma. So I doubt the noni is responsible for his 'remission' except, possibly, by a psychosomatic route. (jfi. I have never tried the stuff.) Rodney. > > Noni does look interesting: > > > > http://www.incc.org/research2.htm > > > > Unfortunately, I haven't tried it myself. Guest guest
Actually, real " remission " is quite rare in melanoma. More usual is either cure by excision or death via metastasis. There is no effective medical/surgical/radiologic/chemotherapeutic treatment for metastatic melanoma. >From: " Rodney " <perspect1111@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Re: noni juice >Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2004 21:05:26 -0000 > >Hi Kyber: > >From what I have seen of noni my view is that it does seem to have >all the characteristics typical of fringe medicine hype. > >That said, here is an anecdote: I met a friend I hadn't seen for a >year.
