I didn't realize that the unfortunate condition of the Florida woman whose

relatives are fighting over her being removed from her feeding tube was

originally due to an eating disorder. From today's Washington Post:

...... " Terri Schiavo, 39, has been in a persistent vegetative state since

1990, when a chemical imbalance, brought on by an eating disorder, caused

her heart to stop and deprived her brain of oxygen. "
