Guest guest
Dear All - Amazon.com has recently instituted an advanced search feature that allows you to search through 120,000 books for any word or concept you would like to find. If there is something in Dr. Walford's two books BT120D or the Anti- Aging Plan that you would like to find quickly, you can use Amazon to find the page number and view the complete page. They, of course, have made it difficult to copy the page... due to copyright restrictions. You can't 'copy and paste' the text into a Word document or make a copy of the .jpg file. HOWEVER, you can select View/Full Screen - position the page on the screen so you can see all of the text and then select " Print Scrn " (usually above the Insert key on your keyboard). You then have to open a blank Word document, select 'Ctrl V' for paste on your keyboard and paste the captured copy of the image into your Word document. Don't distribute these images indiscriminately around the internet because they are copyrighted materials. However, it's just like making a copy from you book... but easier than going to a copy machine, etc. And you can organize some of your research for easy reference in the future. And the obvious advantage is you don't have to 'thumb' through your copy to find a concept that you remembered is in the book. You just have to remember a few of the words associated with the concept and you will find the reference almost instantly... Additionally, if someone on the list says something like, " I can't remember what Dr. Walford said about such and such, but it's in the book somewhere... " now we can say, " Go to Amazon, search the book and find the passage associated with 'rats and obesity' or whatever. " The only restriction associated with this tool is that you have to enter your credit card information and it has to be accepted in order to allow you to view the copyrighted material. I suspect that Amazon is a credible enough company to not do anything nefarious with your number... 'Hope this is a helpful tool for some of you. I so enjoy the list... 'have been lurking for years.
