Guest guest
Candida Support Group by BeeWelcome to the group s_padell! You picked the perfect time to join since Bee is building a new site to make it easier to browse her healing files and articles. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/ >Much of what I have been able to read, has already been done by me. NO sugar, chocolate, caffeine, carbonation, white flour/ bread, dairy - I have been using cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, small amounts of sour cream, heavy cream, ( mostly in recipies only) Congrats on eliminating most of these, however, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream & heavy cream are dairy products. I encourage you to eliminate them from your diet. Candida sufferers react to the casine in the fermented foods and there is sugar in the cream. >none dairy creamer for half-calf coffee. This has got to be the *worst* chemically-inhanced cream-wannabe there is! It is the *only* product I reacted to when I was still " well. " Try Bee's " fake cream " or you can use Bee's egg drink, both in her recipe files. As for coffee, the swiss water processed decaf coffee is OK to drink. >dried or fresh fruit (I can tolerate very little.) All fruits are high in sugar. Sugar prevents nutrients from reaching our cells. The only fruits allowed on this program are lemons and limes used to make Bee's electrolyte drink and tomatoes. >Only low-carb or whole grain tortillas for most all cooking. Sorry kiddo but tortillas are bread and extremely high carbs no matter what the label says. I want to encourage you to read Bee's information on her diet first, especially the foods list to get a handle on what feeds Candida and what doesn't. The supplements are a necessity as well to begin bringing you back to health. ((hugs)) Nan
Guest guest
> > Hi, my name is Sherrell. ==>Hello Sherrell. Welcome to our group. > I'm 47, 5 ft 2 - & over the last 2 or so years, I have lost 70 lb.s. Hard to tell which was the determining factor in the results. I discovered the Atkins Diet first & got results. My hardheadedness of pushing through pain to work out? Or my health issues. So, I stumbled upon your group. And so many of the issues are what have plagued me since 1997. I'll try to keep it brief. And I am continuing to check the articles on file here. > > 1997- Diagnosed w/Lupus, weighed 145 lb.s, worked out daily & was on > Craig. This was the smallest I can remember being since grade > school! Started treatment & gained back to 180 lb.s. Suffered for 2 yr.s before saying enough! Quit all meds, started to exercise again. Even though painful & tired. <snip> > I hope through this group & article's to achieve some sort of -if not comfort, normalcy. Though it's been so long, I no longer know how that feels? Much of what I have been able to read, has already been done by me. NO sugar, chocolate, caffeine, carbonation, white flour/ bread, dairy - I have been using cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, small amounts of sour cream, heavy cream, ( mostly in recipies only), none dairy creamer for half-calf coffee. I only use fresh or frozen vegetable, dried or fresh fruit (I can tolerate very little.) Only low-carb or whole grain tortillas for most all cooking. Only Olive Oil for cooking. NO potatos (though I can tolerate parsnips, cauliflower & sweet potatos.) Only sauted, broiled, slow cooker, or electric grilled meats. Though I do use canned/ package tuna/ salmon. I work out daily still, rotating strength & yoga every other day. ==>All of your symptoms are caused by candida, even your thyroid problems. The only way to cure candida is to build up your immune system with proper nutrients (diet plus supplements), and by eliminating foods that feed candida (sugars, high carbs), and by eliminating damaging foods, etc. When you provide your body with the nutrients it requires it is able to heal itself. Of course the healing process isn't all pleasant because many healing/die-off symptoms will occur but it is well worth the time and effort. ==>Weight is the least of your concerns when you have candida and it will normalize as you progress on this program. It is not wise to do too much strenuous exercise which takes away energy the body needs to heal. Nutrients are much more important for healing than exercise. ==>Keep reading my friend! Ensure you print out the article " Curing Candida, How to Get Started " ; http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php After you've read please get back to us with questions or concerns. We are here to help you get healthy like so many members of this group have done, and are doing. The best in health, Bee
