NBC news had an interesting feature tonight on how just a few " jumps " up and

down a day in schoolchildren promoted much stronger bones, expecially in the

hip region.

I, on occasion, perform jumping jacks and am going to be more diligent about

this exercixe.

Hi Francesca:

A similar approach, which is what I do, is to always take stairs two

at a time. On the way up it is good exercise. But the way down must

be excellent for osteo. Of course one needs to be sure one is not

going to trip coming down. Done it all my life and never have yet.
