When I woke up in the morning I couldn't open my eyes because they were stuck shut with yellow & green gunk. I had to wash them in order to open them without pain. Ugh! > > I had a blocked tear duct in my right eye nearly 40 years ago. They drained it with compresses so I didn't need surgery. (That's also when I started needing glasses.) That eye has been dry ever since and has been my 'worse' eye. Lately, I notice a pressure around the eye, like in my sinuses. I've done sinus rinses once a day, with hydrogen peroxide (even 1/8 tsp. in 8 oz. water was more than I could handle), saline, saline and baking soda, ascorbic acid, garlic water. All have helped some. Once in a great while I'll pass a tiny amount of yellowish phlegm from that side after I rinse. I thought my body was just slowly getting rid of toxins that have obviously been there for a very long time, but now that my vision is seemingly worsening (rt. eye seems blurry) I'm wondering. I also wonder if, because I have astigmatism, maybe the detoxing/rebuilding is reshaping my eye and THAT is why I'm not seeing as well through my glasses...just my rt. eye is having problems, though. ==>I also had " eye floaters " and flashing lights in my vision (off to the side) which are typical of candida. I could have been flushing out toxins from my eyes and/or my body detoxed through my eyes - I'm not sure. It lasted 3 months so that's quite a long time. I used the tea bag compresses and nystatin powder in distilled water as treatments - I didn't know about others at that time. In my past I had eye drops from the eye doctor, to open up the pupils, and used contact lenses for many years. Hard contact lenses caused abrasions to the cornea a few times, so " detoxing " could have been to clean out and heal my eyes. I stopped using contact lenses when I started on the candida program (1985), and I've only worn glasses since. My eyes didn't improve after detoxing, as far as I know. I also had some blocked tear ducts and blocked salivary glands back then which were helped by massages. > I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm not freaking out, > but I am concerned. I'm up to 3T. VCO as of today, by the way...the more fats I add to my diet, the less dry that eye feels. ==>That's great Cathe. This too shall pass, as the saying goes. You can also put coconut oil drops in your eyes. I haven't tried it, but my sister puts them in her dog's eyes. She's a Cocker Spaniel who tend to have chronic eye problems. The CO cleared up her eyes totally, and also her ears! It's amazing really. The best, Bee

Hi Bee, Thanks for your reply to my post. I know you are superbusy now with your new job so I appreciate your taking the time to answer me. I am not having any significant amount of matter coming from my eyes. What does come out is just basic 'eye stuff', so I wonder what's going on? But I have this sense of a fulness around and between my eye and my nose. I am convinced this is matter that has not loosened up yet. Today I used a hot compress on my eye/sinus area, did a rinse and again a tiny amount of yellowish matter came out of my nose on that side. I will try to be more faithful about this and see if it helps if I'm more consistent with it. > ==>I also had " eye floaters " and flashing lights in my vision (off to > the side) which are typical of candida. Again, I don't have anything that dramatic, just feels like my eye is losing it's vision, but I also have moments of great clarity with that eye so who knows. I've scheduled an eye exam for mid-March. > ==>That's great Cathe. This too shall pass, as the saying goes. You > can also put coconut oil drops in your eyes. It's amazing really. I had read this somewhere else on your site or in archived messages, but my tub of VCO (from MRH) states: " Keep out of contact with eyes and broken skin. " So I'm a little leery about putting directly in my eyes. Again, thanks so much for your advice. ~Cathe

As far as I'm concerned it's the best kept natural healing secret there is. I bet MRH is just being super cautious because most people don't understand natural healing the way we do. jackie
Guest guest
Hi Cathe. Do massages around your eyes; it sounds like the area is swelling up and possibly blocking the tear ducts.
