You cannot " spread " candida to family members. a

Guest guest
I've heard things like this too jill. i've had a lot of yeast infections because of candida and have thrown out a lot of underwear over the last few years. it's a good excuse to buy new underwear! i've also heard about spreading candida through towels, sheets, clothes - and just try to make a point to wash these items at high temperature. that's just my two cents worth. sara

Contrary to popular belief candida cannot be passed back and forth at all. That is because candida is normal in every person's body, but under certain conditions it changes into an overgrowing monster; such conditions includes the taking of antibiotics & medical drugs, an overload of toxins, poor nutrition, etc. etc. as outlined in my main article on candida; http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2.php You can no more " catch " candida from someone else than you can " catch " their broken finger or their mineral imbalances. Cheers, Bee

Another one is the whole " germ theory of disease " which is like blaming the manure pile on the flies (the manure pile representing the condition of the body and the flies being the germs, bacteria, viruses, etc.). Think about it. If we could " catch " every germ, bacteria, virus, etc. (which are " everywhere " ) we would all be sick with all of the bacteria, germs, etc. all of the time. But we aren't. People who are healthy don't become sick. That is because nature itself has mechanism within the body that create viruses, bacteria, candida, etc. in order to clean up an unhealthy body. I assume that my immune system is pretty low/depressed and that's one of the things this diet helps with - building up the immune system. At least that's how I understand it. However, whenever people are sick with a cold, stomach virus, and then other people around them get sick, I don't. Despite all the other problems I have and many doctors telling me that I have a weak immune system, I never get the common cold and such. Last week my husband had the worst cold - he felt awful - yet even being that close to him, I was ok. How is that possible when my immune system is weak? Just trying to understand. :-) It's all pretty fascinating - I wish I had gone into alternative healing instead of programming. a

Guest guest
a, Funny that you mention that about catching colds.. My husband has had 2 colds since I stared the diet. He has one right now. Both times I have not caught his cold either. In fact, I have not had a cold/flu a years either. What's up with that? My mom gets colds all the time too. > > > >

You state that candida cannot be transfered by clothing. Does this apply to body to body too. Such as yeast infections of uterous? Have wondered if husband was just giving it back to me everytime I got well. shellp

It is caused by a depressed immune system. Your husband could have candida overgrowth too since runs in families because they eat the same foods and have the same lifestyle.
