Ive been suffering with candida now for many years. with alot of the

symptoms candida sufferers have. Ive been on the diet

now since last year and been slowly feeling better.

This morning when i woke up i jumped on the trampoline like every

morning and after about 2 min my stomach was very sore and my heart

rate was very elevated so i stopped. My heart rate was going crazy

like a machine gun and was elevated for a good 20 min. Then slowly it

started coming back down over the next hour.

I stayed home and went back to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later and

heart rate had gone back up again. I forced myself to eat some food

took my vitamins and went back to bed. I slept most of the day then

woke up and heart rate was back to normal again.

This was totally out of the blue the only thing i have done

differently lately was I increased my salt in the electrolyte drink

from 1 teaspoon daily to 2 teaspons daily. I increased this the past 2

days to help my adrenals.

Is this a normal healing reaction? what caused my heart to race so much?

Was my potasium to low due to so much celtic sea salt?

Im following the diet to the letter with all vitamins

Thanking you in advance

regards

Hi Petter,

Glad you are finding relief by following Bee's diet. I myself only

really started to improve, when I followed her advice.

As for your heart racing, under stress, a person's adrenal glands kick

in to help deal with that stress. One of the hormones that is

produced by the adrenals is epinephrine, and epinephrine can cause

your heart rate to increase. An increased heart rate is helpful under

stress because it increases the oxygen supplied to the cells, and

therefore gives the body more energy to deal with the problem.

Thus my guess is that your heart racing was not a potassium issue.

Rather I bet the extra salt was just what your adrenals needed! With

the additional salt your adrenals were better able to respond to the

stress of a physical problem (your candida overgrowth) and was

therefore trying to increase available energy, to help you fight the

infection and deal with the toxins from die off.

==>Cutting down on salt wouldn't help. If you are not overdoing it on

the trampoline then it would be okay. Too much exercise takes away

energy required for healing.

==>Most people experience a racing heart when they first start

on " good " fats. It takes time for the body to change over from running

on carbs to " good " fats. Good fats like butter and coconut oil are

antifungal so they will create healing symptoms and reactions. To

Before I knew I had yeast I had terrible problems with racing heart

beats, high blood pressure and heart palpitations. I was so scared I

had my little boy sleep with me for a few weeks in case I needed a

rescue squad. My bp was 145 over 90 and my heart rate would go to 165

for no reason. The doc's wanted me on bp med's but I wouldn't do it. I

would wake up in the middle of the night scared to death. The heart

palpitations were several an hour. After treating my yeast for a

little while these symptoms went away and my bp is around 110 over 68.

I took several months for my heart rate to go down. It went down about

10 beats a minute per month and today is normal. I really thought I

was dying.
