Guest guest
> Strategies to help you eat less and > work toward restricting your calories: > This was post 9082 and started me thinking. Thank you for the impetus, Warren. Since I work best from a positive view, I came up with the following: STRATEGIES TO HELP YOU EAT BETTER: BE AWARE OF WHAT, WHEN AND WHY YOU ARE EATING. o Keep a fairly regular eating pattern. o Drink about eight glasses of water a day. o Eat only until you are satisfied; being a member of the Clean Plate Club isn't fashionable any longer so learn to judge the amount you are eating, or measure it as you put it on your plate until you can. (I still backslide and have to go back to measuring on a regular basis.) o Use a variety of herbs and spices. o Eat mindfully. o Create a pleasant atmosphere where you choose to eat. o Arrange the food on your plate so that the sight is pleasing to the eye. o Enjoy the scent, texture, and taste of the food. o Eat a variety of foods; our bodies need the variety to ingest the maximum vitamins and minerals. EXERCISE! Make it something you enjoy and can do regularly. This will help you sleep better, have better tone in your muscles, give your skin a chance to look better and improve your own feeling of self-worth.
