Thyroid and B vitamins

Dear Bee,

Last night my throat hurt so much, I could barely swallow. I have low thyroid

and have been on meds for 13 years. I tried to think of what happened, and the

only change I can think of is I increased my B vitamins. I was taking " B Total " ,

which does not have the right amounts, but I was trying to used up vitamins and

keep the cost down. So finally I needed to buy B vitamins and purchased the

correct dosage. I took the new vitamins 2 days and then my head hurt, and throat

hurt; I could barely swallow with the pressure in the front of my throat.

Help please? Should I slowly increase my B vitamins? I noticed on the positive

side, my leg cramps subsided, so I think I need more than I was previously

taking.

Should I take B vitamins without a certain component? Or am I on the wrong

road altogether in what I think happened? I did review your files, but did not

find any info to help me.

Thanks, Maureen

Maureen

==>Hi Maureen. If you did not change anything else it is possible

the B vitamins are what your body needed to help heal/detox, etc. In

order to minimize symptoms, if they are intolerable, slowly increase

the B vitamins. But if you can handle the symptoms, just do more to

help your body detox. I'm short on time so look up the article on my

website on Detoxifying; there's 2 articles so find the one I wrote.

Luv, Bee

>>Some people don't need that much B-Complex especially since B-12 and B-6

are really high in those. There is more info here:

==>a, do not be concerned about higher doses of B-complex

because it is water soluble and your body throws off what it does not

require.
