Guest guest
My son gets red ears and can tolerate very little when he eats certain foods like wheat. He reacts explosively towards his sister etc. He ate off plan for 24 hours or so during a sleep over birthday party. Last night, his ears were flaming red and he was melting down...I reminded him of the transgressions and he agreed to a 3 gram vitamin c drink, 100 mg niacin and an epsom salt bath...the niacin didn't give him a flush and I was surprised. He's 140 lbs. Could the dose have been to small? I was expecting a flush, thinking it'd help him detox and nothing. Any comments? Any other suggestions for these kinds of occasions? Sometimes there is no flush from the niacin, and that's okay too. No, it wasn't too small of a dose. Usually you give 50 mg at a time. For some people the flush can be quite severe at 100 mg, if it happens. Bee

I like that I can see the niacin in action. +++Hi Donna, Getting flushes depends upon many body processes and other nutrients, and what your body can do, or needs to do, at any given time. You need to take it with vitamin B complex as well as other supplements and foods as recommended, because all of the nutrients work together.
