" And now it just occurs to me that the vegetable shortening is probably hydrogentated, which would be much, much worse than any lard! - T I've gotten this email out of order from so I don't know what you're cookin' but whenever it says lard I use butter. They are better for you, have more versatility and add more flavor to your dishes than vegetable shortening. vegetable shortening is no good! Jecca > > Is there a good substitute?
