Guest guest
I have to try that. Next time I'll just get out the bottle of Senekot and " threaten " to take some. That way I'll never need to buy it again. LOL. Sauerkraut btw is very low in calories and would be a great CRONIE food if not for all the salt. I rinse it in cold water (in a colander) before eating it and that removes a lot of the salt used in curing it. on 11/7/2003 3:07 PM, mrbosco77 at mrbosco77@... wrote: > Francesca, > > You are right, the Doctor suggested Senekot. Guest guest
Years ago, I had more than a year long bout of very bad constipation. Doctors, supplements, foods, laxatives. No success. I had begun to play with soup recipes and once included cabbage and beans. It wasn't even a lot, but apparently therein lied the magic. Subsequent experiments taught me that the cabbage must be cooked and the water with the cooking was an important part of the magic. I ate it a few times within a couple of months... amazingly, the constipation never returned. I always wondered if that combo corrected an internal environment that was off kilter. Anyway, your sauerkraut story reminded me, & I'm glad that worked for you. mrbosco77 wrote: > Francesca, > > You are right, the Doctor suggested Senekot.
