I would like to know if its manageble to do a CR without consuming any (or very little) grain. If there's anyone out there who doenst consume grains could you tell me approx. how much carbohydrate (excluding fiber/including fiber) you eat on a daily basis? Thanks in advance

I have coeliac disease (which occurs in 2% of the population). I am intolerant to gluten and casein (i.e., grains and dairy). People with coeliac disease are twice as likely to die of just about any illness if they consumed gluten regularly after 2 years of age. Not everything is good in moderation for everyone :-) At my local university, Dr. Loren Cordain is doing a whole bunch of research which shows that grain-based diets generally lead to a more diseased state in most or all populations. He's a proponent of the Paleo Diet. You might want to look up his research and food recommendations: http://www.beyondveg.com/cat/paleodiet/index.shtml Here is what I ate today: http://users.frii.com/katnap/FoodList.jpg Here is an analysis of the nutrition: http://users.frii.com/katnap/Nutrients.jpg I hope you find this useful. Please feel free to ask questions. Katrina.
