Guest guest
Thanks so much for responding, Robin. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of the strips and I didn't want to use them without checking first. I know I could probably do the research on the " Crest " website--but, nowadays, I don't trust ANYTHING I put in or near my mouth unless I've checked this website first! I personally haven't had a positive EtG, but I've had the creatnine issue--which is a continuous nightmare (almost four years now--but have seen umpteen fellow Diversionites test positive. Thanks again for the info.

Guest guest
Back in 2000, pre Zoom, I had teeth bleaching done with trays that were made from a mold so they would fit my mouth. It was Colgate Platinum, carbamide proxide cream, that I left in overnight for around 7 days. Some people get aching teeth from it WHILE doing it. I did on maybe two occasion during the process but everyone is different. I never had any problems afterwards. > > hi > > i know this is probably a stupid question but is teeth whitening > (bleaching ) at the dentist dangerous? > > if yes are there any safe natural options that actually work? > > thanx lv joe > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Hi Joe, I had blackened teeth and removed the stains naturally using dried sage and salt. It took a bit of time but it did work very well. Here is the recipe: http://www.gallowglass.org/jadwiga/herbs/teeth.html Cheers, Cara T --- joanne_finigan <joanne_finigan@...> wrote: > > hi > > i know this is probably a stupid question but is teeth whitening > (bleaching ) at the dentist dangerous? > > if yes are there any safe natural options that actually work? > > thanx lv joe > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Check out your bleach bottle - it contains all kinds of warnings. Put a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide (H202) on your toothbrush, which will whiten the teeth wonderfully! A good mixture is sea salt and baking soda 50/50 and then moistened with a little 3% H202. Bee
Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I am new to the list and when I saw the topic of " Teeth Whitening " I thought it would be a good time to jump in. I have been a Dental Asst for 25 plus years. When I worked for one of the top Endodontist ( root canal specialist ) in California he said NOT to bleach your teeth. It can be very tramatic to the pulp (nerve) and can cause the nerve of your tooth to die. At the time there was not sufficient studies to prove other wise. I personally have never bleached my teeth just for that reason. I know general dentist's all believe that is harmless. It is a big money maker for them and the public wants that Hollywood smile. Guest guest
That's funny you mention this. I was just thinking about asking the group what to use to whiten my teeth. I haven't used flouride for years and they are yellow and I am going to use something cause I can no longer stand it. lol! Tammy In a message dated 1/16/2009 12:08:33 P.M. Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth. The mixture should be mixed 50/50 with " non-chlorinated water. " It should not be swallowed. Or you can use hydrogen peroxide mixed 50/50 with water to brush your teeth, and also for rinsing - do not swallow it. Luv, Bee
