Guest guest
Balsamic vinegar, garlic, Mrs. Dash spices, curries if you like them, chili type seasonings if you like them. Guess it depends upon one's personal taste preferences. I'm afraid I've always liked veggies, myself. >From: " bernadettepawlik " <bernadettepawlik@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Yuck...veggies! >Date: Tue, 20 Jan 2004 17:08:54 -0000 > >I've got to admit that I've managed to be a vegetarian for decades >while thoroughly detesting veggies. Guest guest
Also throw into soups/stews/sauces. You'll hardly know you're eating them. My husband loves tomato sauce. I add chpd spinach/kale/peppers/onions/zucchini/mushrooms to tomato sauce now. Tastes great. on 1/20/2004 12:54 PM, Dowling at dowlic@... wrote: > Balsamic vinegar, garlic, Mrs. Dash spices, curries if you like them, chili > type seasonings if you like them. > > Guess it depends upon one's personal taste preferences. They take so long to prepare andeat..and frankly, they usualy don't taste that good to me.Obviously, as a CRONIE, I need to change my attitude.Anyone have any ideas for making veggies more enticing? Lately, I've been putting several tbsp of salsa and additional hot sauce (a local brand) on my (large) salads (broccoli, spinach, squash, cauliflower, onions, couple other things). To that, I recently tried adding about a half-dozen drops of liquid sucralose. Maybe it's only a temporary novelty, but that tastes really GOOD! I never knew, or failed to appreciate, that sweet can add so much flavorfullness to something like a salad. Al
Guest guest
Bernie: this statement mystifies me. I find veggies are the easiest of foods to prepare. Just wash and cut up for a salad; or steam and season in the case of cooked veggies. What takes so long to prepare?? on 1/20/2004 12:08 PM, bernadettepawlik at bernadettepawlik@... wrote: > They take so long to prepare and > eat..and frankly, they usualy don't taste that good to me. Guest guest
I find preparation (cleaning, peeling, cutting) of vegetables relatively time consuming, but well worth it for their ON content. Making hard boiled eggs... now that's easy... JR -----Original Message----- From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2004 5:37 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Yuck...veggies!
