Guest guest
Hi Carmen: Most of the heavy lifting is done with the strict low- carbing, undenatured whey, selenium and inulin. Also a little extra nutritional backup to allow for nutrient malabsorption in the bowel helps a lot: EPH/DHA fish oil, vitamin C, E, A, D, trace minerals and a b75-complex would be a good start. Guest guest
Hi carmen I have Crohn's as well. I react to lactose and fatty foods. [so I have to avoid these foods] Duncan got me on with pro-biotics and inulin... and I can't believe how much it has helped me. I also avoid carbs [as much as I can]....I'm really thin [as many are who have Crohn's] and trying to put weight on. So until I get more weight on I do allow myself 4 pitas per day. [that's it for carbs]

Guest guest
, undenatured whey is so good for putting quality tissue on that it's listed (as Immunocal) in the DRUG version of the Physician's Desk Reference. Just mentioned it because you didn't say you were taking it. The lesions in Crohn's disease can be completely glutathione- depleted, which allows a lot of damage that you wouldn't experience by using undenatured whey and selenium. That said, people with illness are also SYSTEMICALLY depleted of glutahtione, which allows widespread damage that you might not notice as bad as you would a flare. By the way, even after a decade or more of illness, a few months on the inulin whey and probiotics has helped people and produced many similar comments to yours . Glad the inulin is helping; it will also reduce or eliminate your lactose intolerance, as several on this list have discovered. Guest guest
Duncan, I know i have asked this before a few times but i dont understand the answers. In terms which i can understand, what exactely is undentured whey and why is it so good for us. What i understand is that it is a protein, I am undergoing chemo still with only one more treatment, but will be doing radiation next. Any suggestions on what i can do to support my immune system. Thanks Sue ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss an email again! Guest guest
Hi Sue; sure I'll try it another way then: Undenatured means NOT BROKEN, meaning several of the components of undenatured whey that normally are broken by heating in the cheese industry have been preserved instead for their functional property, in this case the property of increasing the master antioxidant and detoxifier. This requires unbroken precursors. In Crohn's disease this master antioxidant and detoxifier, called glutathione, can be completely depleted on the bowel lining, resulting in a lot of avoidable damage that results from toxins, from bacterial infection, and from what's called " oxidative stress " or " free radical damage " . This damage can be worse than the original insult from infection because it continues until it is quenched. Low glutathione is actually not just local but systemic, so if it's low it also impairs energy levels and the body's detoxification ability generally throughout the body, and allows inflammation, and you often see other inflammatory disorders such as arthritis along with Crohn's disease. Low glutathione also stimulates infection of all types. Glutathione increase has been used WITH chemo with remarkable increase of effectiveness, and it also dramatically reduces side effects of chemo and radiation. Guest guest
My own experience in getting over Chrones in the distant past is that the cause is allergies, emotional stress (e.g. maybe a bad marriage or someone in the family dying slowely etc...) and candida combined. Now also they have found a bacteria in most all of the people that have it but I cannot remember the name of it. I got over mine without any treatment just by changing everything above except the candida which keeps hanging in there due to some other problem. A change in climate location or a dusty moldy house, can radically help sometimes with Chrones AND candida. Steph

Guest guest
Hi...... I am new on list, however Crohns is not new to me, I have had it for so many years. Can anyone tell me how they have cured themselves from Crohns on this list please? I have not had a holiday for over 40 years because of this illness. I live in australia, so unsure if I can obtain Inulin here. Kind regards, Carmen
Guest guest
> > Hi all, long time reader but first time post from me. > > I have a bit of a health problem and thought I would see if anyone on here has been through something similar. > > Before I start it is worth pointing out that I follow the majority of Bees diet plan and have done for years (high protein, high fat, low carb, organic meats, grain free etc). +++Hi Ben. Welcome to our group. That's great you've been on a fairly good diet for years, however you will find my diet is different because it is high " good " fats, moderate protein and low carbs, which is the reason it is an overall healing program that improves anyone's health. Carbs are any foods not classified as protein or fat. So after you read what my program is all about you will need to correct your current diet, take a handful of supplements, including calculating your protein, fat and carb ratios to ensure you are high enough in good fats, and low enough in total carbs. > I am 23 years old and have suffered two episodes of Crohns disease, the first was 18 months ago and the other was 2 months ago. These are serious flare ups which have resulted in me losing around 3 stone of muscle (each time) and have been treated with the usual drugs (prednisolone mostly). I have recently had a colonoscopy and have very severe ulceration in every single photo. Despite feeling much better than I was and feeling like I am recovering I am being very heavily pressured by my doctors to start on Infliximab and potentially azothiaprine as well. > > Being someone who is not inclined to take drugs if I can help it I am looking for alternatives, I am aware of natural treatments out there like DGL, Pepzin, aloe vera etc and would like to know if anyone has been through something similar and can offer advice? +++My brother is 61 years old, and he had Crohn's Disease for over 20 years when he started on my program. Since Natural Healing takes 1 month for every year a person has had a condition and/or been unhealthy it took him 20 months to cure his Crohn's Disease. However, he continues on my program to heal his body back to when he was conceived, like most people have to nowadays.
