Guest guest
Dennis: what do you mean by what your " minimum " should be? I assume you know that fast weight loss can be hazardous to your heart and health? If you've lost 5 lbs in one week it sounds like you don't need any help with fast weight loss. BTW the jury is still out on whether Atkins is a healthy diet. You may be missing a lot of different nutrients. on 12/17/2003 7:38 PM, Dennis De Jarnette at positivedennis@... wrote: > hi I am back, Good to read the posts. Guest guest
Hi Dennis, Maybe I am not a good example, but I have lost about 82 lbs since late March, early April. I basically went to under 1000 calories a day for several months then switched to modified Atkins in July and have been a lower carb, higher protein, better fats and lots more vegetables and fruit and nuts eater. I lost more slowly by this fall and have been able to maintain at about 133-135 for several months now with an every day workout plan and eating about 1400-1800 (most days 1600). At my age, this may be maintenance calories for me. I am 47. I am really healthy now...having put my autoimmune disease in full remission and have fantastic labs and lipids etc. Kim
