My experience with soy

For several years I was a committed vegan and the majority of my

protein came from soy sources. I then began to experience a feeling

of " fogginess " during the day and increasing feelings of sadness.

This despite being a very happy person in a great home/work situation.

Just out of curiosity, I had a food allergy test. Well, viola!

Highly allergic to soy. Now there are several theories about food

allergies..one of which is that your body can " overload " on a certain

food.

Consequently, for me it was either walking around in a fog or a

depression because I was consuming soy or eliminating soy. I can now

eat soy once or twice a week, but I have to be vigilant about drinking

green teas to get flavonoids into my diet.
