Guest guest
Well I did my first dose of niacin(250mg) and had a MAJOR flush to the point my son would not nurse. I had bumps all over. My entire body was also red. I was burning up. I hope that if I take the niacin after a big nursing that that will hold him till the flush is over. Any other suggestions? Also will he get it through the breast milk and flush too? Thanks Kara
Guest guest
Kara, the dose of niacin is 50 mg two times per day. Yes some people are talking more but most of them worked up to that level over a period of time. As for the breastfeeding, all bottles of real niacin I have ever encountered have a warning about taking it while breastfeeding and I know that the Niacin headache study showed that large amounts of niacin is passed into the breast milk. Even if you took it after a big feed it will still be in your breast milk in large quantities when it came time to feed again. in the UK > >
