PLEASE respect the netiquette rules so that we can have some semblance of

order. I'm referring to the section below titled: RESPONDING TO POSTS.

If everybody posted without regard to these rules, we'd have chaos.

Some admininstrative information to remember:

REPRODUCING POSTS FROM THIS LIST TO OTHER LISTS

Netiquette requires that one ask the author for permission before sending a

post on this list, to some other list. Failure to do so could result in

banishment from this list.

SENDING MESSAGES FROM A DAILY DIGEST: If you are receiving a daily digest,

please be careful about responding to the list. You must change the subject

line of your reply to a proper subject and be careful not to send back the

entire digest! Please look over your reply before hitting the " send "

button.

CHANGING YOUR E-MAIL OPTIONS

Every so often someone complains about receiving too much mail from the

group.

However there are three different options available: You can receive:

1) individual e-mails

2) one daily digest

3) no e-mail at all.

The people who don't get any e-mail can read the list at their leisure by

going to the website. It may be helpful if you are going on vacation etc.to

temporarily change your option to # 3 above: no e-mail.

You can change your option by going to the home page at:

/

Just click on " Edit my membership " in the upper right hand corner.

Then, give it a day or two to change. is a busy place and the change

sometimes has a " lag " effect.

FINDING/ACCESSING THE FILES AND LINKS

Just go to our home page:

/

At the left, click on " files " . Then click on the file you want to read.

Sources for CR-supportive products can be found in the files area in

'Members Recipes' under 'WhereToBuyStuff.html'. To access the " links " click

on " links " at the left. The links contain direct access to the Okinawan

studies and to any recent sales on CRON type food or supplements purchasable

on the web. That s all there is to it. The files and links are jam packed

with useful information.

Please e-mail the moderator at: fskelton@... if there are any

problems.

RESPONDING TO POSTS

Please include a snippet of the post you're responding to. This is important

so that people can follow the thread of the discussion that was posted

previously.

If you are responding to a lengthy post, please snip it and DO NOT include

the entire text of that post. We have a certain amount of megabyte space for

our archives and we don't want to waste it repeating the entire post being

responded to.

THANKING PEOPLE OR OTHER MESSAGES TO ONE OTHER PERSON

Please stop and think before you send a message to the list that will not be

of interest to many or most members. For example, if you want to thank

someone because you asked for info and received it on the list. Thank them

off list rather than send the thank you to the entire list. If the

information is of a huge benefit (Suzi's Checklist for example - a huge

effort benefitting so many),then perhaps a special thank you round of cyber

applause is called for. But for info to just to one individual, an off list

thanks suffices.

SPAMMERS

Messages promoting products, or containing links to commercial sites, from

which the person posting the message stands to benefit financially are not

permitted unless the message clearly states that they have a financial

interest in the product or site. Even if there is no product or site

mentioned, if the poster stands to gain financially, such messages will be

discouraged and will be considered inappropriate and off-topic. A list

member who posts many of these messages, or only these messages (meaning

that they are not a list member but an advertiser) will be banned.

MODERATION OF POSTS

This group is generally unmoderated with the following exceptions:

1) Newbies for a brief period to intercept spammers.

2) Members who have been abusive of others or of list rules (they may also

be banned).

3) During periods of high spam or abuse incidents. This is shown on the

home page on the right in the section labeled 'Group Settings' as

" All messages require approval " . Inoffensive posts containing scientific

information are NEVER censored
