Guest guest
I remember reading someone on the other list stating every extra calorie is 30 seconds off one's life. See how that computes! Peg

Guest guest
Is it really clear that it is net calories or calories that are beneficial for life extension? Let say we have three people that weigh the same but one is: 1. 1800 calories a day with modest or little exercise 2. 2000 calories a day with medium exercise 3. 2200 calories a day with strenuous exercise. which as a cronie will live longer? I doubt that we know. If it is the food that we eat that is aging us then 1 would be the better choice. My guess is that 2 will turn out to be the best option, but who knows? But there only are 1440 minutes in a day. Interesting? Rodney. > > Hi folks: > > > > Here's a thought (probably not original?). Guest guest
True- with humans it is quite difficult to know. Animal studies indicate the lower calorie intake is the most life extending. >From: Dennis De Jarnette <positivedennis@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Two Minutes per Calorie >Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2004 11:10:06 -0600 > >Is it really clear that it is net calories or calories that are beneficial >for life extension? > >Let say we have three people that weigh the same but one is: > >1. 1800 calories a day with modest or little exercise >2. 2000 calories a day with medium exercise >3. 2200 calories a day with strenuous exercise. > >which as a cronie will live longer? Guest guest
My Grandmother's spoken word on this subject as we would reach for a second helping was, " A minute in your mouth, an hour in your stomach and you carry it around on your hips for the rest of your life. " She lived to be 87 which for the stresses she had in her life, was pretty good. Ruth From: hsanborn2@...
