Guest guest
BFL- I thought that was all about EAS supplements! (Just Kidding) I've been an exercise addict for 20+ years also. Used to read Bill stuff before BLF, also. Anyway, I use free weights, do yoga, martial arts, cardio, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, tennis, swimming, skating, baseball with the kids, etc. I think CR changes your goals and methods of exercise somewhat, in that I certainly don't attempt to acheive Bill physique. Otherwise, I exercise about as much as I want or can fit into my schedule (probably alot more than Walford would deem advisable!) But as I said, I'm an addict. I can not recall a day in the last 10 years I haven't " worked out. Guest guest
I do a lot less than Chris. Try to walk at least a mile a day (weather permitting), free weights a couple of times a week, some yoga, a few crunches here and there. I'm probably more like Walford suggests. I think you'll find a wide range of exercise types. on 1/27/2004 1:26 PM, Dowling at dowlic@... wrote: >> I've worked out daily for the last 20 years. Guest guest
While there is some debate that too much exercise is counterproductive re: life extension, I am of the opinion that too little is the bigger risk for most. I run 5 miles 3x a week, lift weights 3x (2x volume workout, 1x strength), play basketball 2x a week, and try to do absolutely nothing physical one day a week, but often find myself mowing the lawn or doing yard work on my " day of rest " . This is both a lower and a higher activity level than I've practiced at different periods of my life. Like Goldilocks, I think it's just right. Guest guest
Dropping weight ALLOWED me to exercise. Now I can walk 5miles at 3mph. It's necessary for Blood pressure control, but I don't think excess exercise is necessary or even desired to extend lifespan. Regards. ----- Original Message ----- From: bernadettepawlik Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 12:06 PM Subject: [ ] Exercise anyone? I've worked out daily for the last 20 years.
