Guest guest
Hi : I am learning to take your posts seriously!!! Many thanks for that link to the CR Society page. You linked artid=10. But I have just been reading artid=7. Fascinating. I wonder if it is true. It shows two diagrams 'Lifespan of B10 and B6 mice'. Those diagrams appear to indicate (unless they are mislabelled, or I need a new pair of reading glasses) that when the 'B10' mice were put on 44% CR at human equivalent age 30, the longest lived of them extended their lifespan by ten (human equivalent) years. *** BUT *** when the 'B6' mice were put on 27% CR (less CR) at age 40 (later in life) they extended their lifespan by 21 years (double that of the previous example!!!) I am personally hoping that these data can be extrapolated to age 60! If so then if started at age 60, zero% CR should extend lifespan (by simple extrapolation) by about 40 years. I suppose that either the diagrams are mislabelled or I am having difficulty understanding them. Is it possible to clarify which it is? In both cases the controls lived to age '98', so it doesn't look as if 'B10' and 'B6' are different types of mice. Guest guest
The mice populations (B10 and B6) do have quite different lifespans in terms of months, though, so I think they are different strains. >From: " Rodney " <perspect1111@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Was: Calories/Height/Wt.
