Thanks for your help

Hi Theresa. Buy Alum from the drug store, which is a powder; dab a wet

finger in it and rub it on the area. It is very very bitter so it will

make her pucker, but it will numb the area. Keep dabbing it on.

Or apply clove oil on a piece of cotton ball and have her hold it over

the area. You can get it at the drug store in a tiny bottle for about

$5 and it is not as strong as buying it at the health store. If you

have the pure clove oil put 3-4 drops mixed in some coconut oil and

apply that the same way.

Or you can use oil of oregano mixed in coconut oil but it tends to be

very strong so you should add it drop by drop and test to ensure it

isn't too strong.

Also use 50/50 warm water & H202 to rinse and hold and swish around in

the mouth for 2 minutes; but if she's very young don't use it because

it must not be swallowed. As an alternative mix ocean sea salt in warm

water; make it quite strong - not sure of the amounts - it's late and

I'm tired. Let us know what helps her.

Luv, Bee

Hi Theresa,

Chewing Cold things: Try freezing strips of chicken or turkey for her to chew.

This will help the tooth break through faster while soothing the gums.

Swish Saltwater: Ask her if warm liquids or cold feel better on her sore gums

and fix her that.

Massaging the gums: Place your thumb and forefinger on either side of the gum

and massage gently.

Clove oil numbs: Ask her where it hurts the most. Put a drop on your finger and

place it where it hurts. Have her to try not to spit for a few moments so the

clove oil has a chance to work. This may be accomplished by her holding her head

over the sink so the saliva runs into the sink.

Ice pac: If she doesn't feel like chewing, swishing, massaging or using the

clove oil then have her hold an ice pac against her cheek then switch to the

other size every 20 minutes. (if the problem is on both sides.)

Bee said Cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory. See if she'll sip some cinnamon tea

or eat a chunk of butter mixed with it.

She may be too young for this but - make tea, take the warm teabag and stick it

in her cheek next to the sore gum. It will sooth and take down some of the

swelling. If the teabags break, have her just spit it out, swish with water or

saltwater and give her a new one.

Hope this helps,

:)
