Debby, I know you have an aversion to the coconut flavor, so how does the unrefined taste to you? Do you find it to be strong? Personally I could eat the stuff by the cup full, but we all can't love coconut! I also can't believe the difference in the refined vs unrefined per your experiment. Amazing huh? Guest guest
Hi Shirley, I guess I didn't explain it very well. I love the taste of coconut oil by itself! Takes like almond joy candy to me. But a long time ago I had it with some food that it didn't taste good with which is why I started doing the refined. I think it was the broccoli I tried it with back then but you know tastes change and I'll give it another shot. If I can eat 3 days of nasty rubbery chuck roast because I got some crappy meat from Safeway to avoid having to waste the meat, I'm sure I can learn to like coconut oil with broccoli. I'm still not sure how coconut oil will taste with my usual beef and broccoli but I'm going to try to eat them together, and if not I will eat them seperately and maybe use a little olive oil to saute my meat. I cook my onion and broccoli in it everyday and it does not taste coconut-ty at all. " Try it, you'll like it!
