If it is, maybe try switching to 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed about 2/3rd H202 and 1/3rd water and see if it is better for your gums. Mix it in a small glass and dip your brush into it. Let me know. Guest guest
Bee, I have been using the Hydrogen Peroxide to brush me teeth as you suggested instead of baking soda. I have had no bleeding since then. Was the baking soda too harsh? Thanks. Gratefully, Ellen " -)

I thought you might do better with H202 instead. I'm glad it worked good! Bee
Guest guest
Hi , My gums have been receding as well but I see this as an improvement. My mucus membranes always had problems with Candida. This caused itchy, dry, red eyes with green and yellow discharges during sleep, oral thrush, permanently inflamed gums that bleed, etc. During one month on this program, my gums symptoms did get worse temporarily. My gums felt very sensitive and inflamed. They would bleed without me brushing them. Now my gums have become less swollen then they were at the start of this program, and they don't bleed anymore even when I brush. They are also becoming a healthy pink color. Not to mention improvements across the board of all my mucus membranes. My eyes aren't itchy anymore, they don't get dry and don't get red as easy. No more discharges with the occasional clear liquid. Now I don't have to brush my teeth and simply oil pulling will keep my breath fresh. Thanks to Bee for improving my health! Regards, > > My gumline is receding in the last 2 months and I am concerned about keeping teeth - (I now have a gap between my front two teeth) . I am trying to figure out what the cause may be and have a few ideas - some plausible some not so. > > 1) A chronic TH1 infection and inflammatory response may be degrading gum collagen? Even though Baking soda is mildly caustic I don't believe that it would be harmful for the gums. What about 50% H202? > > If flossing is dangerous, can toothpicks be used. Most of my gum problems started in the weeks I was not flossing and had lots of junk between teeth.
