Thanks, ==>Lora, yes there is benefit to palm oil, and I've used the Spectrum brand which looks and feels like shortening. But I am suspicious of Spectrum's processing so I don't recommend it, and I haven't had time to research more about palm oil and palm kernel oils. In the meantime coconut oil is your best bet. I feel just awful today and I had more palm oil for lunch. I won't have any for dinner and maybe I will feel better tomorrow. Also, where else can I get my fat intake? I can't tolerate coconut oil, palm oil, or butter right now. I also have reactions to goose fat, beef/beef fat, and lamb/lamb fat. I don't want to get most of my fat intake from olive oil. Any other suggestions? Thanks, a
