Guest guest
It is not Cocoa-Warren. It is Kooky-Warren. :-) Yes, I use the Saco Brand defatted cocoa powder. It has 10 Cal/TBL. That is almost zero -- very different from most of the chocolate sold in stores. I buy it in bulk for my own use, and make it available in bulk for anyone else who wants it (free shipping, no sales tax). Suzanne Cart (List Admin) got us all interested in cocoa a while back because of its reputed aphrodisiac qualities. Famous for its rich chocolate flavor, the low calories, the energy pickup it gives, the low cost, the anti-oxidant bioflavenoids, etc that make the Saco brand attractive. A case has 12 cans, and stores forever. It can not turn rancid because it is defatted. -- Warren On 12 Dec 2003, Ron Corselli wrote: > > On the CRS list topic of cocoa, reference is made to the Saco brand. > Could someone inform me specifically which product this company makes > is being used and how is it consumed? A blended cocoa has a mid-range pH that is more gentle and less acidic, making it sweeter (without the calories of course). I provide recipes for puddings and beverage use. > > Caloric content? > 10 Cal/TBL because it is defatted. > Thanks to all.
Guest guest
Dear Kooky Warren (next to “cannibal” in the dictionary): For the record, I’m not the person who recommended cocoa. (I don’t NEED aphrodisiacs, honey child.) I am the one who recommended Satietrol, and I believe you’re sitting on several cases of that too which you bought for us. That’s a good product which folks might find helpful to use epecially during the holiday-temptation season. It’s available at GNC but is hugely less expensive if purchased from you. Just to clarify this for newcomers, we aren’t permitted to sell and profit from the platform of this list. Warren is able to purchase these products in bulk for his own use and graciously passes the savings along to us at his own time and hassle. Suz (in the absence of Francesca this weekend) It is not Cocoa-Warren. It is Kooky-Warren. :-) Yes, I use the Saco Brand defatted cocoa powder. It has 10 Cal/TBL.
