Guest guest
Funny you mention colds being " ten times worse " for some people... My wife always yells at me when I get a cold, because she says that I will be well in 2 or 3 days max, and she will catch it from me and be sick for weeks. And that's the way it usually works. Strange. She's the one who eats a healthy diet and I'm the human garbage disposal with hypothyroidism... Treated with 75 mcg Synthroid. > Ok...now a question...when any of you get just a cold is it 10x's > worse than > a " normal " persons? Guest guest
Chuck- Oh my gosh? I was just watching something on the news about that. Was he in the hospital when he died? I think I remember the news saying it is common to get it there. Re: Chuck , Thanks for your concern. I'm doing fine. Guest guest
Chuck- hahahahaaa. Ornery enough? That's a good one :-) Char, You wrote: > > ..now a question...when any of you get just a cold is it 10x's worse > than a " normal " persons? I have missed two days of work! No, it only seems that way. When I was younger, I was always the first one to catch strep each year. I had the type A when I was 19. My theory is that if you are ornery enough, you will never catch a cold. Chuck ________________________________________________________________________ Email and AIM finally together. Guest guest
Yeah and lot's of people who get a chicken pox vacc end up with chicken pox -- Re: Chuck Crystal, You wrote: > > > I just read a study the other day about staph. That's why life expectancies were so high prior to the 20th c. Lots of people that fought off chicken pox end up with shingles. Guest guest
Roni, I once went to a doc to see if he would give me a B-12 shot b/c they made me feel better. This is when I was soooooooo sick from hypothyroidism with a " normal " TSH. The doc gave me the shot but was talking the whole time, maybe mumbling, about survival of the fittest. ??? I don't know what motivates some docs to go into medicine, b/c many do not like sick ppl. Guest guest
Yes, this is so true. The vaccine induces this in a lot of people, not to mention the other side effects...I had a bad episode with vaccines. Caused my whole body to have muscle spasms, and I also passed out from them. I was in the military at the time. Blessings! Guest guest
My first husband was immune to the smallpox vaccine, and I always maintained that not even the smallpox virus wanted to spend time with him. Guest guest
the 75mcg gives me the creeps. you are a person who would benefit from iodine instead. I wonder what is the definiton of a healthy diet???? I don't think it is low fat, low salt, low cholesterol, low calorie etc. Your diet might actualy be better. Gracia Funny you mention colds being " ten times worse " for some people... Guest guest
I don't think it is off topic--it is definately another low iodine condition. but I guess it would be considered off topic now. Gracia Hi Chuck, Would you be willing to e-mail me personally. I or I should say my sister has more questions about her grandson and Asperger's. Thanks. nelsonck@.... It is off topic for the hypoT group so I don't want to continue our conversation there. It wouldn't be fair to the others. Guest guest
Thank you Gracia for saying that. I know sometimes people get upset if we get too far off topic so I didn't want to cause a problem. I will be doing more research on this iodine idea.
