Guest guest
Veggie soup is often good and filling. >From: " bernadettepawlik " <bernadettepawlik@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] When you are exceptionally hungry you.... >Date: Thu, 22 Jan 2004 20:54:52 -0000 > >Okay, it has been 10 days on 1800 calories per day fairly >successfully, and today I'm so hungry that my sweater actually looks >like it could be tasty! > >I've drunk water, decaf tea, eaten two heads of romaine lettuce and >head low cal soup. First, I try to go for foods with maximum bulk for their caloric content -- soups and salads, cereals with enhanced fiber content, etc.. I'm 6'1 " and 185 lbs. The calorie requirements charts put my requirements at about 3200 for an average work day, and 6000 for a heavy exertion day of mountaineering, skiing, or cycling. I shoot for between 80% to 85% of that. I have to say that for me, no matter how counter-intuitive this might be, activity makes me totally forget about hunger. It's when I get idle that I think about food.
Guest guest
I agree with Chris. There'll be days when you won't be so hungry and it'll all even out. I've (for example) eaten very little yesterday and today because of lack of hunger. I know it's hard to believe but it'll happen. Also try more protein tthan usual and a bit of fat (like nuts) which is very satiating. on 1/22/2004 3:58 PM, Dowling at dowlic@... wrote: > Eat something healthy (nutrient and fiber rich) and drink alot of water. > > >> From: " bernadettepawlik " <bernadettepawlik@...> >> Reply- >> >> Subject: [ ] When you are exceptionally hungry you.... >> Date: Thu, 22 Jan 2004 20:54:52 -0000 >> >> Okay, it has been 10 days on 1800 calories per day fairly >> successfully, and today I'm so hungry that my sweater actually looks >> like it could be tasty! >> >> I've drunk water, decaf tea, eaten two heads of romaine lettuce and >> head low cal soup. Guest guest
I substitute some of my calories for a whipped up nonfat milk/whey protein shake. I will add a little fruit, vanilla, or cocoa to make it interesting. The whipping adds volume so it fills my stomach, and the protein seems to keep my hunger at bay for a while. Make sure you count the calories, though. :-) B. :-) ----- Original Message ----- From: bernadettepawlik Sent: Thursday, January 22, 2004 2:54 PM Subject: [ ] When you are exceptionally hungry you.... Guest guest
Another idea is Satrietrol, described in the files. This works well for many. Warren sells it in bulk or else buy a small amt from places listed in the file " where to buy stuff " (in the " recipes " folder) or see our " links " page for sales on products (some of which may be out-of -date) on 1/23/2004 3:51 PM, Beatty at goodreport@... wrote: > I substitute some of my calories for a whipped up nonfat milk/whey protein > shake. Guest guest
Use Satietrol to suppress appetite (control hunger). It works very well when used habitually over the long term. The worse your self-control, the better Satietrol works. I have technical references that document clinically proven effectiveness. Product cost is very little on a daily basis. It is a bargain: You control hunger (natural appetite suppressant), and you save more money on the food you don't eat than the cost of the Satietrol. Contact me off-list for a write-up. Simple solution to hard problem. -- Warren Note: Satietrol must be committal, and it must be habitual. Use it for 4 weeks, and you probably see nothing. At a safe rate of weight loss of 1 Lb a month, you see no change. Your weight can fluctuate by 5 lbs or more a day, based on water retention and gut fill (stomach and bowels). Continue to use it and you will see results. ================ On 23 Jan 2004, Francesca wrote: > > Another idea [to control hunger, lose weight] is Satietrol...
