Guest guest
It does really depend on what one is dosing by symptoms for, now doesn't it? I am living proof that dosing desiccating thyroid and BHRT by symptoms to a thyroidless and ovaryless female worked quite successfully. Guest guest
I don't think it's so much what you're dosing for, as it is " how " . You could dose hypothyroidism by using cocaine and probably feel pretty good... For a while. In your case you're using a product that treats the underlying disease, so it works. At least for you. So you aren't JUST treating symptoms; you're addressing the real problem. Note I said it has it's limitations; I didn't say it wouldn't work. > . > > > Re: Anyone with weight gain have Liposuction? > <hypothyroidism/message/34859;_ylc=X3oDMTJxdmhybmo\ wBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzE0NTY2NARncnBzcElkAzE3MDkyNTEwODIEbXNnSWQDMzQ4NTkEc2V\ jA2Rtc2cEc2xrA3Ztc2cEc3RpbWUDMTIwMDEzNDA4Nw--> > > > > Posted by: " Sam " k9gang@... > <mailto:k9gang@...?Subject=%20Re%3A%20Anyone%20with%20weight%20gain%2\ 0have%20Liposuction%3F> > stealthwind <stealthwind> > > > Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:51 pm (PST) > > It does really depend on what one is dosing by symptoms for, now > doesn't it? Guest guest
Exactly, , by dosing desiccated thyroid/BHRT by symptoms to my thyroidless/ovaryless body, I am treating the underlying issues, and have, not surprisingly, found balance. Guest guest
Your symptoms are coming from very clear sources, no ovaries and no thyroid. You are, so to speak, starting with a clean state. That is not the case for many of us, so things are not always so cut and dried. Guest guest
It's not just that I have lost 2 parts of my endocrine system and started with a clean slate. There was damage done and severe iodine deficiency - fibrocystic breast disease, osteoporosis, DNA and NIS damage from the RAI and stuff like that. I was sort of ok just without ovaries/uterus, but the bottom dropped out when my healthy thyroid was ablated. Yea, I wish it was just " starting with a clean slate " ...it would have been way easier to climb out of that pit of doom I was lolling in for so long. :-O Sam :-D > > > > I don't think it's so much what you're dosing for, as it is " how " . > You > > could dose hypothyroidism by using cocaine and probably feel pretty > > good... Guest guest
you mean all our " parts " work together? lol gracia p.s. does anyone know about SS death benefits? Is there really only a death benefit from social security if there are depenednt children or spouse left behind? someone told me that everyone is entitled to a death benefit but SS says no. I still owe $500 to the funeral home and it seems I am going to be held responsible. Gracia It's not just that I have lost 2 parts of my endocrine system and started with a clean slate. Guest guest
That would probably be due to sex hormones - higher estrogen and lower progesterone at that time. Dosing my own sex hormones, one of my symptoms I used for estradiol/progesterone was breast pain/ache - too much estradiol or not-enough progesterone (it's a very very very different " feeling " than with FBD). FBD - I had very full lumpy bumpy " crunchy " (my term) and very painful breasts with fibrocystic changes. Had ultrasounds (NOT mammograms) and even a needle biopsy, so I knew what it was. Both breasts were involved. It is VERY different from what you'll experience during a " cycle " . And I am not kidding when I tell you that about a month on 50mg Iodoral (with vit c) and all those lumps and bumps were totally gone - had ultrasound and even sonogram to make sure. It blew the technician's mind. heh heh The only downside to loosing my 'lumpy bumiys " was that my breasts don't have that full appearance now (but they're still nice). Guest guest
Mammograms expose you to radiation and are not as accurate as you are led to believe. You should look into thermography, which I believe is more accurate, an offers earlier detection than mammograms. I'm sure some with disagree with me, but do the research and decide for yourself. Guest guest
Thanks Sam, This is really good to know. If I were to buy natural progesterone cream, how much would I ?know to use? Are there any foods that I could eat that are good for progesterone deficiency: Also, are there any saliva tests cheap that I can order?? Thanks!! Guest guest
A mammogram is like looking for a needle in a haystack as long as it's a great big needle. Ultrasounds and sonograms are so much better at seeing what mammos can not yet find. I'm serious. And they aren't as painful. If breast cancer runs in your family, please go to this website: http://www.breastcancerchoices.org and read read read... it's nown that being iodine sufficient protects against breast cancer, etc. Sam (thyroidless since 1990) > > > > > > > > > > I don't think it's so much what you're dosing > > for, as it > > > is " how " . > > > > You > > > > > could dose hypothyroidism by using cocaine and > > probably feel > > > pretty > > > > > good... Guest guest
I have a question too. My mom had a hysterectomy and they left one ovary since the other had cysts on it. Does this mean she may be iodine deficient? Isn't the ovaries a holding tank so to speak for iodine? cw -- Re: Re: Anyone with weight gain have Liposuction? Guest guest
Yes, it's wise to find out " where you are " when and if you start to supplement, and saliva testing sex hormones will tell you if you are truely low in progesterone or high in estradiol. The saliva tests that I like are at www.canaryclub.org for around $141-ish you get Thyroid/Cortisol/DHEA/Antibodies/Sex-hormones If you end up finding you need to supplement progesterone, as with any hormone, start low and go slow, and only take than amount which relieves symptoms. In general, progesterone is started at around 20mg (with the most that shold ever be taken is around 250mg +/-), and if a transdermal cream, it is applied to areas with less fat and more capillaries - I put mine on my shins. Effects can be felt within 24 hours, usually. If you find it is really estradiol that needs supplementing, it is the transdermal 17 beta alcohol gel (.60mg per gram of gel) and should be started at 1/2 to 1 gram of gel and applied to areas with underlying fat. I put on upper thighs, stomach, buttocks. I know women on 5mg of estradiol, however it's sort of a high dose. Generally 2.5mg is about average, however as with all hormones, the need is very individual. Just take only that amount which eases symptoms, and start low and go slow, etc. Foods good for the deficiency? Mmmm, don't hit me, but since the sex organs need certain amounts of inorganic iodine to function properly, I'd go with the iodine/iodide supplementation. Sometimes just supplementing iodine/iodide can normalize hormones, or make us able to use our hormones more efficiently. <ducking and running for cover> Sam :-D > > > > > > > > I don't think it's so much what you're dosing for, as it > > is " how " . > > > You > > > > could dose hypothyroidism by using cocaine and probably feel > > pretty > > > > good... Guest guest
Thanks, . <grin> My fiance had this ugly nasty skin thing on the top of his right foot for 30 years. Sort of like the worse case of psoriasis in the universe, but worse, and he was suffering so much from it. Some days he would just want to cut his foot off... I talked him into starting Iodoral and he's built to 3 a day with vitamin C. And with doing nothing else, it's healed completely in 6 months. I can't overlook that. And for me, my FBD was cured, plus other great things happening with other people that I just can't over look. I keep seeing and reading all these " HOLY CRAP WOWEE " results from so many other people, and it just makes it impossible to brush off the effects it's had. It took me a long time to even read anything about iodine that Gracia was trying to get me to read. I was not a believer. At all. It was just another pill that I didn't want to bother with. And right now, knowing what I do, I could just kick myself for not jumping on this sooner. But, you know, to each his own... Sam > > Thank you Sam, > You are really funny!! I appreciate your passion! And Gracia's too. I understand that when something works, you want to shout it from the roof tops! I am very passionate about cleansing, and when I would tell everyone I knew, man I got a lot of grief. You know the saying, " A prophet is not welcome in his own home " Oh well, keep shouting!! > Blessings, > >

When I told her I wouldn't, couldn't I get an ultra sound, she said they won't do it unless there is something suspect in the mammogram. I told her no to the mammogram and she wrote a script for the ultrasound and said let's see what happens. So now I just have to schedule it. Guest guest
Comments like these are dangerous. Mammograms have saved many lives. Dusty Re: Anyone with weight gain have Liposuction? A mammogram is like looking for a needle in a haystack as long as it's a great big needle. Ultrasounds and sonograms are so much better at seeing what mammos can not yet find. I'm serious. And they aren't as painful. Guest guest
Google SS death benefits. I don't know why they would tell you no, unless your departed one never worked and therefore did not contribute to the SS system. My Dad died in 2000 and we got the $250.00 death benefit as expected. Dusty Re: Re: Anyone with weight gain have Liposuction? you mean all our " parts " work together? lol gracia p.s. does anyone know about SS death benefits? Is there really only a death benefit from social security if there are depenednt children or spouse left behind? someone told me that everyone is entitled to a death benefit but SS says no. I still owe $500 to the funeral home and it seems I am going to be held responsible. Gracia It's not just that I have lost 2 parts of my endocrine system and started with a clean slate. :-O Sam :-D --- Recent Activity a.. 12New Members Visit Your Group Health Looking for Love? Guest guest
especially since we have the new digital mammograms that are the best and far superior to ultrasounds and sonagrams.
