Guest guest
Hi all, A while back I think someone posted a site to help tell what test results mean. And I was wondering if it was someone on this site? It would give the name of the test then say what it means if the results are high, low or whatever.. I had it but my computer crashed & I had to recovery my cp..all gone now.. thanks Bev

Guest guest
It's possible she is not converting the Levoxyl into T3. She would need a FreeT3, FreeT4, ReverseT3 to see if her body is converting. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! A month ago her TSH was 6.73. We started on levoxl 0.05mg and her level is now 1.51(range is 0.50-4.30). HOWEVER her T3 is low 79 (range 104-190). Her T4 is in range 9.0(4.5-12.5). These were not tested for previously. What does this mean???? Becky ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Thank you for your response. What is a free T3, FreeT4, Reverse T3? Is this a med or is there a natural form? Also..what about iodine?  When I did the iodine patch test it disappeared in about an hour and a half. Are the natural thyroid options a better choice? I'm sorry for all of the questions but I'm cluless.....ironically enough I've been hypothyroid for years but wasn't smart enough to question it. Becky ________________________________ From: Roni Molin <matchermaam@...> hypothyroidism Sent: Mon, October 4, 2010 10:17:19 PM Subject: Re: Test Results???  It's possible she is not converting the Levoxyl into T3. It mainly measures the evaporation rate of iodine. If you are taking advice from someone that recommends the patch test, I strongly suggest you find another source of information. Dessicated thyroid medications are preferred by some people. At least 90% of us do very well on synthetic T4, but there are exceptions. However, I strongly object to calling dessicated glands " natural, " just because they come from an animal source. I can give you a more technical argument, if you are interested. Guest guest
First you need to get the tests and the hard copy of the lab sheet. Then you have to post your results along with the lab ranges on here. Then they have to be evaluated to see what's going on. No one can tell you without the tests. That's what FreeT3, FreeT4 ReverseT3 and TSH are, tests. No medications should be given to you before it's known what and how much you need of something. The iodine patch is totally unnecessary. If your doctor is willing to give you adrenal tests too, that would be good. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge!
