As for melatonin, I have had exceptionally good luck with the "Now" brand, 1 mg. two stage release with co-factor nutrients. They are minimal amounts of niacinamide, vitamin B-6 and magnesium. I sleep better with this product rather than any brand at 3 mg. Peg

Thanks to sksdjs who posted the article on melatonin and blood pressure on

January 20th cited below. The article mentioned that sleep quality improved

after 3 weeks of melatonin intake as well. For the insomniacs out there,

who may have missed this, it may be worth trying.

Veterans in the group may remember I've had trouble with good sleep for

years. I've tried everything. I was taking melatonin, but not enough, and

not consistently. I'm now in the second week of a consistent (as

recommended in the article) and nightly dosing and I think my sleep has

improved, but of course I feel that I'll know more as more time goes on. In

fact it's not even 3 weeks yet as mentioned in the article. I'll report to

the group again after more time has passed

Thanks again to sksdjs.

I think the amount taken varies widely with each individual. I've been

taking 3mg and am waking up groggy. I plan to cut back.
