Does anyone on Prednisolone get the shakes? I get a tremor in my hands at various times during the day and don't know what else to put it down to. So far today I have cut my thumb with a cheese slicer and broken a china pot. May have to resort to plastic cutlery if this continues! Caroline 2. Guest guest
Hi Caroline #2 Yes...Yes....Yes....Yes.....Yes.... Prednisone has always given me the shakes. Inside and outside. I could hold my arms straight out in front of me and watch my hands tremble. I think that's why a good night's sleep is impossible while taking it. I am down to a half mg right now and will stop completely at the end of the month. At a low dosage, I do not shake. So.......it's normal to shake and tremble. If you lived in California, you'd just think it was an earthquake......... xxoo Mi. Carmen
Guest guest
Sue, My surgeon for my son explained that a Ctoma is not a tumor. It is actually skin cells that are on the wrong side of the ear drum and they do not know when to stop multiplying and form a ctoma that causes destruction when the toxins are released by the dead cells. I hope it makes you feel better to know that it is not a tumor. Another question. Hi all, hope you are all keeping ok.I've been reading regular but not posted recently as no news yet but getting closer to he CT scan date of 29th August, then we will go from there asd to when Chloe will have surgery. What I wanted to ask was ...Is a c'toma a tumor? When I search on it I keep reading tumor in it, but it is benign. When I think of it that Chloe has a tumor I think oh my god. Do people call it a tumor? was not told this in hospital.I know this is the best place to find anything out. Thanks in advance.Sue

Ahoo.com> wrote Sue, It is a tumor that is not cancerous. The cells form a tumor that must be removed in whole or else it will keep coming back. Some doctors call it a tumor and some do not but truly it is a tumor that is formed by the cells. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hello Sue, The C-Toma has been debated in the medical world for years as to whether its a tumor or not. The best way my doctor told me is that its simply your skin shedding. The eardrum is skin and when its gets sucked into the middle ear the skin " sheds " . Problem is that unlike the skin on your body where the dead skin drops to the floor in the ear it has nowhere to go. Thus that is why its important to get surgery. I just found out I have C-thoma in my left ear. My surgery is scheduled for Spet 21st...ugh.
