Guest guest Posted December 10, 2003 Report Share Posted December 10, 2003 There are extreme CRONIES and there are moderate CRONIES. We have discussed the issue of extreme vs. moderate in the past. In general this group advocates the more moderate view. We do not advocate cutting out entire healthy food groups (whole grains for example) such as many extreme cronies do, to maintain ultra thinness. One reason: There are new disease fighting nutrients being discovered in these very foods every day. The best diet is one with a wide variety of the health giving foods such as in " Checklist for CRON Variety " which is in our files. When you read a post by a veteran, remember to make your own decisions as to its validity. Also, keep in mind that the track record of the extreme CRONIES is littered with health problems due to extremism - among them: osteoporosis, anemia, anorexia, and others. Since some of these extremists are not in good health, they, IMHO may not be good role models. Yet some continue to post as if they alone have the answers. The best advice I can give is to follow what Walford says. He is the one who has carried out the experiments, done the research and written the book.
