Thanks for the mother's day greeting and Happy Mother's Day to you also.

You say you are taking quite a few supplements and 6 grains of Armour.

Are you sure that the supplements are not interfering with the

absorption of the Armour? Many supplements should be taken 4 hrs

after the Armour some maybe less and with Armour, you should take it

one hour before food or take Armour 2 hours after food.

Maybe this is the problem.

Venizia,

well I thought that too. but I take my armour at 5:30 am and again at

2pm and i space all the other crap after 7am and then after 4pm, I

had the swelling before the armour and all the supplements,so i kinda

of eliminated that theory.. I even quit everything early on to see if

that was the cause and I blew up any way.. another thing I notice I

use an infra red sauna for the FM pain and I will put on a sauna

suit, hoodie and I barely sweat but my legs and arms swell like

crazy, to the point i don't use the sauna for that reason. and it's

about 139 degrees.. gotta any other ideas..:) i'm game for anything..

Are you sure all 32 of those supplements are doing what they are

supposed to do? Do any of them interact? Synergy? Something in there

could be jazzing up your immune system.

Are you describing hives, urticaria (red weals and raised areas)?

Do you have any allergies. I also swell a lot if I have things with

sulfites. It's a long shot but worth investigating further. Sulfites

are in meds, foods and beverages etc. Check out the group

sulfitesnomore . Sorry, to you folks that have heard

me say this before but I had such problems and I am so glad I figured

out what my problem was that I want to let others know it is a

possibility.

HI joy,

I am thinking the itching, especially the scars, is

due to the skin stretching. If you can swell that

quickly then I think we are looking at water

distribution and ability to excrete it. There are a

lot of health issues going on and without taking your

case I would try, myself,

Nat Mur 6x cell salt (also known as Schuessler salt or

tissue salt)

as that is a mineral compound that deals with water

distribution. Take as directed on the bottle. You can

buy it at most health stores. Have you ruled out

congestive heart symptoms? Kidney function?

Nat mur in the homeopathic form (not the above form is

a big thyroid remedy-so we are in a good ball park

here.) If a big grief is what brought on the CFS then

you should respond quite nicely to the Nat mur. also.

But even if that last sentence does not fit your case

Nat mur cell salt is a common mineral compound and

should be of benefit.

It sounds like you are being monitored by a doctor so

that is good. If you do start losing water let him

know so he can keep an eye on your electrolytes. You

don't want those to get out of balance.

joy,

Angio edema is like hives, but it goes deeper. I would still suspect one

of your supplements; foods and environmental exposures next.

Have you considered that you are allergic to the Armour, which we have read

is indeed very possible. Did these symptoms begin after you started

Armour?

First look to see if you have an allergy to the meds that you are taking, or

allergy to anything else. If that is not the case you could have a parasite

infestation. It could be mites or jiggers that are so small you would need a

microscope to see them. Jiggers or sometimes called Chiggers come from the

woods, tall grass, pets, dust or mice. They like warm dark and damp places on

the body and can travel real fast. If you scratch them they can hide in your

fingernails and get transferred to the eyes or anywhere that the conditions are

right for them to reproduce. Sometimes they hide in wood tables or other

furniture. They also hide in clothes, or in beds and couches. Some people have

more of an allergy to them more than other people. So if one of your family

members comes in contact with an infested object they may not come down with the

itch. If you scratch and create an open wound tend to the wound first. Don't put

medicated powder on the open wound. If you just have the

itch put medicated powder on it and the itch should go away. To prevent them

from going up your legs or arms, make a ring of medicated powder all around your

legs or arms above the itch. These little buggers don't like cold. Wash your

body with cold water, not hot water. If you have clothes or furniture that is

infested with them it is easier to through them out than to try to kill the

mites. Use Tide laundry detergent (The mites hate that) if you wash your close

or furniture. Remember to wash the nails on your hands or feet and around your

cuticles well with cold water then put the medicated powder on them. That is

where they hide. This is war. It is you against them. Consult your doctor to see

if it is OK to do this. It worked for me. Dauphine999

Before I was diagnosed hyperthyroid, my docs were sending me everywhere to

check out my many symptoms, one of which was itchy, rashy skin - especially

bad on my face, chest and hands. One of the places I was sent was to the

dermotologist to be checked for scabies - which they said the rash was

typical of. See:

dusty,

the only thing is I don't have any rashes, I only itch where there is

an Incision site and I have 5. I did have a reddish rash on my legs

but it went away when they increased my armour. It's a deep internal

itch it only gets red when I dig because I can't stand it anymore.

I'm so so grateful you all are out here. thanks again..

joy-

if you are itching on your scars, then that is from the skin around the scar

producing new nerve endings- new nerve intervention into that area. I speak from

plenty of experience. it doesn't matter how old the scars are either- it is a

neuropathy- my friend who is a neurologist told me that we can't explain it but

it happens even in old scars where the nerve intervention should already be set

and the area healed. it is kind of like phantom pain scenario.

eek, that sounds awful. a quick google on 'internal itching' gave me a

few interesting sites - but i didn't spend long looking. see:

http://www.glutenfreeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=18081

and

This last is interesting in that you say your itching is only at prior

surgical sites where scarring is present. Anytime we are cut, nerves etc

are damaged and this may be the culprit.

I sure hope you find something that relieves you soon. It sure can't hurt

to try antihistamines - if that fails, aspirin and if that fails see a doc.

I did a little research and I found that itching of scars can be caused by

iodine, fluoric acid

and aluminum (found in deodorant, alum. cooking pots, laxatives, foil)

Can you tell me what color your scars are?

Do you scratch until you bleed?

Is there heat in the area?

What feels better on it? hot or cold?

my appy scars and thyroid are white the one that itches the most is

about 2 inches above my navel and is somewhat raised.. Ijust scratch

until it hurts I never make them bleed and ice calms them down and

heat aggravates the devil out of them. my hernia scar is the most

recent 07' and its a purplish color and you can feel little knots its

very tender. my appy scars are somewhat thick and the one that itches

the most is really solid underneath no heat though... I'm just

weird.. know one can figure out why I have so much swelling so I

thought maybe my body was reacting to the internal sutures. I used to

work in the OR and I have seen cases where patients have had to come

in due to reactions to the non absorbable sutures so I thought maybe

my body didn't like it so it was swelling trying to get rid of the

irritant..just notice after each surgery I tended to swell a little

bit more, especially after the hernia surgery I gained 55 lbs despite

exercising 6 days aweek and a decreased calorie diet..-or maybe all

this is just Hypo related..

Are you taking iodine in any form?

or using any of those aluminum content things?

If so you have to look at that FIRST and remove the obstacle to cure.

Homeopathy treats the whole person so it would be irresponsible of me to suggest

a deep

acting remedy without taking your case. But in the meantime you could look at

first aid

homeopathic remedy Urtica urens (stinging nettle in homeopathic form)(usually

sold in a

6c , 12c or 30c potency). You can find it on line or some health food stores

that carry

homeopathic remedies. If there is an aggravation, pause and let it settle down

and then

don't take so often.

The proper way to take a remedy is to suck on one pellet.(avoid strong mints,

essential

oils, tiger balm, Vicks, strong black coffee as that can antidote the remedy.

Keep the

remedy away from cell phone, micro wave, tv etc as that can ruin it) If it is

the right

remedy it will start to ease the itching. Can repeat 3-4 times the first day IF

NEEDED.

If not needed then don't take anymore. As itching decreases start spacing out

your doses.

If you don't see any change in 3 doses then it is not the right remedy.

If that remedy works it would indicate there is an allergy of some type or it

could indicate

a complication of previously treated a rash that " disappeared. "

I'll stop there. I suggest going to a classical homeopath (and keep going to

your doctor

and don't change your meds without their guidance) to have your case properly

worked

up. They are good at putting the pieces of the puzzle together. You could also

find a Vega

practitioner who could test your supplements to see if they agree with you.

These are only suggestions of what I would do if I was you. Good luck to you.

Ledum

palustre is another remedy that is good for scars that itch. It is made from

wild rosemary

but it will not " cure " your overall health case. If it is neurological, as

previously suggested-

that is another story and these remedies will not help.

Cheers,

I thought the same thing because I had a c-section back in 2002 and my

incision would itch and I could feel those nerves firing. It eventually

went away except for rare occasions.

Maybe you did have Scabies. Scabies has bumps on the skin where the bug has

burrowed into the skin and set up house. With what I had there were no bumps

just the itch. This was a different mite. There was no rash just the itch. I

didn't scratch it and put medicated powder on the itch and the itch went away,

but continued to move up my leg. I put a ring of medicated powder around my leg

and the didn't go up my leg anymore. Dauphine999

hypothyroidism

Subject: Re: Re: OT but I need advice from those I trust.

They like warm dark and damp places

on the body and can travel real fast. If you scratch them they can hide in

your fingernails and get transferred to the eyes or anywhere that the

conditions are right for them to reproduce. Sometimes they hide in wood

tables or other furniture. They also hide in clothes, or in beds and

couches. Some people have more of an allergy to them more than other people.

So if one of your family members comes in contact with an infested object

they may not come down with the itch. If you scratch and create an open

wound tend to the wound first. Don't put medicated powder on the open wound.

If you just have the

itch put medicated powder on it and the itch should go away. To prevent them

from going up your legs or arms, make a ring of medicated powder all around

your legs or arms above the itch. These little buggers don't like cold. Wash

your body with cold water, not hot water. If you have clothes or furniture

that is infested with them it is easier to through them out than to try to

kill the mites. Use Tide laundry detergent (The mites hate that) if you wash

your close or furniture. Remember to wash the nails on your hands or feet

and around your cuticles well with cold water then put the medicated powder

on them. That is where they hide. This is war. It is you against them.

Consult your doctor to see if it is OK to do this. It worked for me.

You might want to try an antihistamine, such as Benadryl, otc.
