Guest guest
My goals have been to keep calories down to about 1,800, eat more veggies and drink more water. This month, I've succeeded with each 80% of the month. My goals for next month are to reduce calories to 1,700, eat 8 servings of veggies and at least 2 of fruit daily and to drink 10 glasses of water a day. I've found that prepping veggies/fruit/water in advance so they are more readily available than other alternatives has made a difference. For example, I now make a bag of veggies every a.m. and keep them on my office desk during the day. That way, I snack on veggies, rather than other foods. Similarly with water...preparing a large sports bottle and keeping that on my desk prevents me from drinking excessive amounts of coffee. Guest guest
Bernie: Good for you in finding out what works for you. I recently tried to give similar advice to Joe who wrote to the group that he was slowly going off course i.e .prepare ahead for those occasions when you know you'll be tempted. Guest guest
I find dried figs, prunes, and dates convenient also. Trying to find currants - they seem to have left the grocery shelves. BTW, Lays is now frying some stuff in OIL. That only took a year since I complained about it. Now the Kroger corn chips are fried in hydro fat.
