Guest guest
Hi, Theresa, >For those of you who take DHEA, how much do you take (did you work up to >this dose) and at what time of day? Does it affect sleep if taken too late? >How soon did you feel any better? I have tried supplementing with thyroid >but only felt really wired and anxious. I want to try DHEA and see if it >will help my energy levels at all. I am taking DHEA, at my endocrinologists direction. I have taken up to 75mg a day (50 mg in morning, 25mg in evening), but am now back to 50 mg/day (25 morning, 25 eve). I have not noticed any difference in me between taking the 50 as 25 & 25, or a single dose of 50 in thee morning. I have also not noticed any more problems sleeping than before taking any, no matter nhow late at night my evening meal winds up (up to midnight). But I did notice an improvement in energy. AS I am male, these doses won't apply to you. I would suggest that you have an endocrinologist check your DHEA-S (sulfate) levels, as well as estrogens and testosterone. That should give you an idea of how to proceed. I would also suggest that you start with small doses, like 5 mg, and work up. My original endocrinologist said that micronized DHEA is the only stuff that's good - he recommended GEN (Genetic Evolutionary Nutrition ?) by name. Guest guest
Suzanne, Thanks for the vitamin info. My son is already on the poly vi-sol but it doesn't have the calcium that he needs so we supplement when his diet is lacking. I can always run it by Dr. G when I see him next. Anne >Anne and Sharnita; > >Again I have to ask if Dr G is aware and has approved of all of these >supplements. I just had our monthly phone consult with him and Nick's >allergies had risen (still in normal range but higher than the previous >month). One of the offenders Dr G said was that we had switched multiple >vitamins to the Yummie Bears brand. He said those were a huge no-no! He >advised that the only ones he recommends is the poly vi-sol. This is just >for the multiple too; he does not want our children on additional >supplements from what I understand (due to the efficacy and wide range of >fillers/unknown ingredients). > >I would check with him or his office staff on this. > >Suzanne >
Guest guest
I had my abdominoplasty on 5/01/02 along with my hysterectomy. My insurance paid for it. I had never had a yeast infection under my pannus. My plastic surgeon wrote the letter and described the surgery as reconstructive surgery. I never saw the copy of the letter but they approved it without any problems I have BC/BS FL. When I am in his office again I will see if he has a copy of the letter. The first ps he did in his office was bilateral brachioplasty and mastopexy with silicone implants. If you want to check out his web site it is www.eaweissmd.medem.com I know of 4 MGB patients he has done and numerous post gastric bypass patients that have had the open roux-en-y . Guest guest
Stevia is an herb, I believe. The plant is incredibly sweet. C
