Guest guest
If BNuts taste like they have mold on them to you, I'd avoid them. You may have a bit of an allergy. Tree nuts are a very common allergen. I didn't know I was allergic to BN's til I started eating one Bnut a day. After a few months I developed a rash that got worse and worse which I finally, after much delving, traced to the BN's. (The veterans on the list will remember my woes). Th source of the rash was difficult to figure out because I had been eating them every day for months before I develped the allergy! Before I realized what was causing it, I had to go on steroids and was in pretty bad shape. I can tolerate a piece of a BN every few days and that's what I do, mainly because they're such a rich source of selenium. But if I thought they tasted " moldy " I would have stayed away in the first place, thereby saving myself a lot of problems. on 1/18/2004 2:40 PM, Dowling at dowlic@... wrote: > I rather like walnuts, also, but I like most nuts, with the exception of > brazil nuts, which, for some reason, always taste like they've got mold in > them. Guest guest
I don't know of any food allergies I have, if I've got any, but I do avoid brazil nuts " like the plague " - I'd really have to force myself to eat them, anyway, and I see no reason to do that with any food. >From: Francesca Skelton <fskelton@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: [ ] Brazil nuts >Date: Sun, 18 Jan 2004 15:07:39 -0500 > >If BNuts taste like they have mold on them to you, I'd avoid them.
