Yes. As noted in the " CR Made Easy " file, you can eat Healthy Choice meals.

This is what the file says:

Purchase a low-cal low-fat frozen dinner (e.g. Healthy Choice). Add some

frozen veggies to bring up the satiety factor and a very small amount of

healthy mono-unsaturated fat (olive oil, a couple of nuts or a small piece

of avocado). Skip the dessert portion (or substitute fresh fruit). This way

you've got a very easy to prepare, fairly high nutrition, CR-friendly meal.

About our files: a lot of work from many veterans have gone into making our

files an excellent resource. Read them!!

Also, there are markets where you can purchase cut-up fresh veggies and all

you have to do is throw them all together in a salad bowl, with a bit of

oilive oil and balsamic vinegar and voila! you have a salad without all the

dicing and chopping. Add some canned salmon and you have a CR meal without

the work!

Thank you for the advice Francesca. If I do the frozen dinner thing,

what kinds of dinners do I need to look for? I know the

brand " Healthy Choice " , but what combinations of foods should I

pick? How many would I eat a day? I am 4 ft. 11 inches and weigh

105 pounds. I don't know what my calorie intake should be.

Thanks,

Sus

Sus: Nobody knows how many calories you should be eating. I recommend you

not worry about that for now as discussed in " CR Made Easy " . Eat healthy

food liberally and cut out the junk. Three meals a day plus snacks (fruit,

nuts, cut up raw veggies, fat free plain yogurt etc). We also have files

which discuss the kinds of foods you should eat - so use them as examples.

AFA the " Healthy Choice " meals, for the time being, just vary them so

you're not eating the same foods every day. Variety is very important,

(especially different fruits and veggies). Add extra vegetables to the HC

meals as mentioned before.

(BTW to access the files go to the home page at:

/ and click on " files " in

the left hand margin. You will then have access to all the files. Just

click on the one you want to read.)

You sound like you're pretty thin. You may not need to lose much weight (if

any) but instead just hone in on the " ON " part of CRON.
