fat question

I know the most important thing about the diet is getting the right ratio of

fat, (75%-80%

of calories). It seems most people are concerned with too much protein, but what

about

too much fat. I find at the end of some days on fitday that my fat ratio is

85-90%,

especially when I consume egg drinks for all 3 of my meals with no veggies. Too

much fat?

My drink is usually 4 eggs, 2tbs VCO, and 2tbs butter. I've read in past posts

that too

much fat w/o protein can cause nausea or upset stomach. I seem to feel okay, but

I

understand that the body converts most of the protein into carbs. I guess what

I'm asking

is too much fat as concerning as too much protein. Fat seems to be stressed the

most.

On another note, it seems my appetite is increasing! I think the Enzymes

definetely help

with this. I used to eat just under 2000 cals a day, now I'm eating like 2500.

My die-off

symptoms are finally starting to minimize as well! The raw egg drink is sooooo

good!! I

usually have it for breakfast and lunch.

Happy Holidays everyone!!

Hi ,

Only 58% of protein can convert into glucose, and the

process for this is called gluconeogenesis (I'll call

it GNG for short). The thing is that GNG is a very

intense process for the body so it doesn't do it for

all protein, only protein eaten in excess of the

body's needs, and only to make enough glucose in the

abscence of other carb sources such as veggies.

You can't really get too much fat as the body will

excrete excess in the urine. However it is important

to get enough protein for the day to meet the needs of

your body. Your body uses protein to build/repair

muscles, grow hair and nails, etc. so you want to get

enough to cover your basic needs.

Otherwise your body will break down your own tissues,

including the heart which is a muscle. Also your body

doesn't have any *need* for carbs even veggies, but

veggies have a lot of other things in them that make

it worth eating them despite the carbs.

Lots of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, particularly

green veggies. So I would recommend you start off by

planning your meals in advance for the day. First

calculate your veggies, and set a goal for how much of

what you are going to eat on fitday.

Next add your protein in until you reach the right

calculation for you. Then finally add more fat in

until you reach the right ratio. You can add animal

fats in at this point, or VCO or olive oil. I eat

really fatty beef so I don't have to add too much more

fat in.
