Guest guest
Hi , I know what I'm talking about because I've cheated a few times too, and I also have had really bad results. So when I tell people don't cheat, it's not because I'm Miss Perfect and Self Righteous. It's because I've been there and done that and I know that it can be hard to pull yourself out of that hole once you dig it. I find that when I cheat now it's much easier for me to put myself back on track than it ever was before. This is because I immediately try to figure out what happened (most of the time I manage to stop myself before it happens with a lot of different strategies) and then I forgive myself, figure out a new strategy for the situation and move on. I don't give myself a lot of reasons for cheating like I feel like it, this food looks good, etc. So far my cheats have always been me being around extremely yummy food and being very hungry. Like one time I was up late cooking some breakfast for my husband (bacon) and it looked good and I was having the munchies and I caved. I wanted to eat every piece of bacon in the house. But as soon as my hunger abated, I stopped myself, drank a bunch of water and got right back on track. Now, I no longer cook bacon unless it's on a very full stomach. I learned from that mistake and figured out how to avoid it again. I probably won't make that mistake again but I'll probably make others. Each time I make a mistake I use it as a learning experience. So if you aren't already back on track, don't eat another bite off plan. Stop, go cook some appropriate food, plan some food for tomorrow, etc. Prepare your strategies for this war on food. Don't say " after this doughnut " or " after this vacation " because the longer you wait, the harder it is to detox from the sugar cravings, the more damage and back tracking you do, and the more discouraged you get. Hope that helps.. Luv, Debby San , CA --- fats_malone2002 <signposts8@...> wrote: > Hi Debby, thank you! Guest guest
Oh I also wanted to say that from eating that bacon one time my acne came back for a month. So not worth it. Guest guest
Hi Debby, yes your post helps a lot. I am feeling very badly again, so I am trying to ride this out and hope things improve properly soon. Very good idea to make sure you do not cook tempting food on an empty stomach!!! Also, with me? I am going to make sure that before I go out somewhere in the car, or to someone's house, that I have eaten well beforehand. It's amazing how tempting it is to drop into a takeaway drivethru!!!! Or, at someone's house to think " i'm starving, maybe I'll just eat this and then when I get home, I'll get back on track'. As you said this yourself, it just extends the agony and makes it even harder. Thanks again . > Hi , > > I know what I'm talking about because I've cheated a > few times too, and I also have had really bad results. > So when I tell people don't cheat, it's not because > I'm Miss Perfect and Self Righteous. > > It's because I've been there and done that and I know > that it can be hard to pull yourself out of that hole > once you dig it. > > I find that when I cheat now it's much easier for me > to put myself back on track than it ever was before. > This is because I immediately try to figure out what > happened (most of the time I manage to stop myself > before it happens with a lot of different strategies) > and then I forgive myself, figure out a new strategy > for the situation and move on. > > > So if you aren't already back on track, don't eat > another bite off plan.
