Thanks to everyone who responded to my message regarding beginning

CRONING. Please excuse me if I don't address your post in this

post...can't remember all the details, but hopefully, I'll address the

majority of the responses:

My height: 5 feet 8 inches

Current weight: 148

Current bodyfat: 25%

Currently work-out one hour per day lifting free weights, with 30

minutes of cardio

Re: 1800. I simply chose that as an achievable caloric level.

During my crazed dieting days, I was able to dip as low as 1,000..but

fortunately, I'm wiser..or at least less crazy!

I've been keeping a food diary for years. And, my customary daily

caloric intake tends to hover around 2,400 calories per day. I've

been a Weight Watchers member since September, and by eating the

WW way I've lost an average of 1/2 lb per week and find that I'm

" comfortable " at about 1900 calories a day (comfortable as defined by

no hunger.)

I've been a vegetarian for the last 15 years, eat some low-fat dairy,

no sugar, no " white " foods (rice, pasta, white flour products.)

My current goal is to focus on adding more veggies to my daily diet.

To that end, I've started preentering my food for the day (writing it

down before eating it..planning it in advance) to include veggies at 5

of my 6 meals.

Thanks for reading!

Whoa...... If you've been eating 2400 a day and are now trying 1800 I'd say

that's much too much too fast. Since you're not hungry at 1900, why not try

that or even a bit higher and see what happens. If you've read Walford,

then you know that losing too fast is actually health-reducing not

health-enhancing.

Also you won't be hungry all the time!! Easy does it. You're very young

and you have a lot of time to do this. As Andy says, concentrate mostly on

the ON part for a while and get that under your belt. You'd be surprised

how that alone will do wonders.

See the file: " CR Made Easy " .
