Guest guest
when I want to reply to the entire group, I just hit "reply to all". I think it normally works. It seems like you all get my posts. S

Yes, but that's part of the problem. When you " reply to all " we get two copies. One in the group and one by in our private e-mail. Many of us don't want two copies, especially when they are ridiculously long, untrimmed messages. Steve
Guest guest
Then all we must do is to hit the "reply to All" button and then erase what we don't want to use. Now I've hitten the "reply to all" button but then I have erased your name from the "To" part so you woudn't receive two equal e-mails from me. a Figueira -----Original Message-----From: steve@... That depends on the e-mail application or even if the web is being used for replies. We don't all use Outlook Express or the web. I use Agent for news and e-mail groups because it threads messages so that both group types look alike. If I hit " reply to all " your address goes into the line and the group goes into the Cc: line. So I have to edit both lines. I use 32 news groups and 23 e-mail groups. This is the only group that needs me to edit replies. All the others use standard settings. It is very difficult to remember to change my mode of working every time I reply to a message in just this one group. Steve
Guest guest
You're right I use the Outlook so I wasn't awere of other problems that could occur. I understand your problem better now. a
Guest guest
Well, I guess we'll all find out what the poll results are, soon enough. We're not all going to get what we want. What are standard settings to some are not to others, and if we go to another way of doing things, we will then doubtless get the " Oops! Sorry, I didn't mean to send that to the group " messages. A solution in one regard often presents a problem in another. I still suggest that we all need to take personal responsibility for looking at the lines before we send, but hey, I'm old-fashioned that way. Guest guest
No offense to anyone, however I am trying to 'unsubscribe' to this new group. No reasons. I have to send a 'unsubscribe' to lowsoenaltrexoned and put it into my filter, but I still get 20 t0 30 emails a day. Just don't have time. Guest guest
I do agree with that but we also need to tell new members it works that was as most groups are not this way ;o) From: Bou [mailto:lswillia@...] Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 9:59 AM low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] msg posts Well, I guess we'll all find out what the poll results are, soon enough. Guest guest
While I understand this are you ready for possibly 100’s of emails daily from this group if it’s voted to change how it is now? Keep in mind the number of members and as I asked before is there any way to know how many messages end up going here there and everywhere in this group so we know how many to expect if it changes? Also for this person is there a way to set rules in your program so that in hitting replies to messages from it it may automatically fill in the group address? I don’t know Agent I will ask my husband for you if you like as he’s a techy guy… From: steve@... Any subjects that are of no interest, I just click " ignore thread " . That way my e-mails from this group only include the ones I'm interested. That's only about 20 a day. > >Also for this person is there a way to set rules in your program so that in >hitting replies to messages from it it may automatically fill in the group >address? It puts the group address in for all other groups. This group is non standard. I can reverse the behaviour but then all my other groups would be wrong. I was a computer " techy " for 35 years before my MS forced me to retire. Steve
