> Hi - I am wondering how people eat the fake cream? I am considering

making it but then don't know how to use it - can anyone tell me what

you are adding it to (if anything)?

==>Hi Anita. You can drink it as a substitute for milk, or use it in

tea or decaf coffee.

> Hi Bee, I noticed a post about fake cream and am wondering where the

recipe for this is? I searched the files, but did not find it.

==>Hi Michele. I think it's in the Snacks & Desserts Folder, in the

Recipes Folder.

Thank u Shirley!

I don't know much about gelatin - I went to the health food store and they had a

" porcine " variety I believe. I know Bee recommends Bernard Jensen's but are

there other brands ok to use?

RE: [ ] Fake cream

Anita,

I brew a strong decaf coffee or fenugreek tea and use that as the liquid in

the recipe for flavor. I then either put the fake cream in my swiss decaf

coffee or eat it straight up as a custard. It is really quite good and it

helps me to get my daily fat intake. You can adjust the thickness of the

cream by manipulating the amount of gelatin.

Hi Anita,

I did an internet search and found out that Bernard Jensen's brand is

made from beef. Another internet search found a beef derived gelatin

made by NOW foods. I didn't find any others.

==>a, I believe you made it okay. It contains gelatin which

is what makes jello firm. Try adding less of it so it isn't so

thick. The ice cubes wouldn't affect the consistency of it in any

case.

Fake Cream

1 cup hot water ( near to boiling)

2 rounded Tablespoons of unflavored gelatin

1/2 cup of unsalted butter

3 Eggs

1 tablespoon of pure almond extract

Stevia to taste

Ice cubes

Pour hot water into blender

slowly add gelatin (low speed)

Add butter, eggs, flavoring, stevia

As blender whirs add ice cubes one at a time until mixture jells.

Makes one quart.

I find this is too stiff of a pudding for me. So I use 1 1/2 cups water

and 1 tablespoon of gelatin

You can substitute coconut oil for some of the butter. Whatever you decide

you can handle in this delicious pudding.

Many times I add pure lemon extract and about 3 lemon cubes that I have

frozen.

The stevia amount is up to each individual.

I love this fake cream recipe. When I get hungry i go in the

refrigerator and eat a few spoonfuls. I get my fat that way and I

feel like I am cheating. Don't use Knox gelatin. And be careful with

the extracts and their ingredients.

Gratefully, Ellen " -)
