Guest guest
Ok, AJ, here is what healthy cortisol rhythm should be: Morning - top of the range. Noon - 3/4 up in the range. Late Afternoon/Early evening - 1/4 up in range. Late evening - bottom of range. Some people that are low at all times will usually dose their Cortef 10mg in the morning, 5mg at noon, and 5mg in the late afternoon (or early evening). Other people will dose their Cortef 5mg four times a day. Still others will do 7.5mg = 7.5mg + 5mg, while others do 15mg mornings and 5mg around noon (or early afternoon). basically they are dosing to when they feel they need to take it. Soooo, look at your saliva results, pay attention to your symptoms, and dose accordingly. And now I have to ask you, have you had Aldosterone/renin tested yet? Aldosterone is another adrenal hormone which can also be low. It should be 3/4 up in range and renin should be low in range. You should test this, too. Hopefully you will be fine, but then again, you never know...
