Guest guest
Venezia, I didn't fill the script after I got the mfg. insert from the doc and found the ingredients list (I do this for all my meds because of my allergies). So, I don't know what the pill looked like. Sorry - wish I could help. If your pills have a mfg name on it you could google the item by brand for ingredients. Dusty Re: Neil/Chuck Dusty, Does your Vit.D come in a green capsule? It looks kind of like a clear green gel cap to me. I would be interested to know if what I am taking has soybean oil and if that is a problem also. Venizia > > Neil/Chuck, I was just diagnosed Vit. D Deficient - blood level of 20. Guest guest
I hope it goes well with him. Its so hard to let go of the notions we were raised with, i.e. the docs are " in charge " . I still get intimidated too, but am proud to say on my last gyn visit, when my doc said - " if you think you can do better, do so - by all means. I've treated over 6,000 women in my career so far and.... " . I interrupted her and said - " Good for you, I'm happy your business is so good, but those 6,000 gals don't live in this body - I do - and you and I haven't solved MY problem yet! " Gotta say - the doc was in shock, but then so was I - and in fact I was so rattled by having spoken like that, I was quite through with the visit! I'm getting better at this speaking up thing - wonder why it takes us so long to do it? I do know 2 yrs ago, I had high cortisol so I do think something is up. I think I will be calling him this week. He's a new doctor for me and I am worried that he is going to think I'm annoying. I went in to see him last week sooner than he suggested because my DHEA was high and we kept playing phone tag and not getting to talk to each about it so I made a appt to see him. If I have to do that this week again, I will. Thank you for your help. I shouldn't care if he thinks me annoying, he's getting paid. Guest guest
I loved that! You go girl! I don't know your age but if you are near mine, we were brought up that the doctor should be put on a pedestal. I usually take my father, who is 85, to his doctor appts. and it just amazes me how he thinks this guy is god. When I question the doctor, to his face, I see my dad cringe. I don't care. This is my dad he's taking care of and I want the best for him. Great story Dusty. Thanks for sharing it.
