Guest guest
you understand that many ppl/docs have found this info to be true? b/c they use iodine?? the one with the opinion is you. Gracia We've seen this before. Dr. Rowen's mentor is Dr. Abraham, the owner of Optimox; which conveniently makes and sells iodine products. Nothing here but an opinion piece [or worse, a disguised advertisement]. . . > > Posted by: " Gracia " circe@... > <mailto:circe@...?Subject=%20Re%3AFw%3A%20%20CHRONIC%20IODINE%20DEFICI\ ENCIES%20AND%20THE%20USE%20OF%20IODORAL> > graciabee <graciabee> > > > Sun Dec 7, 2008 9:00 am (PST) > > > > CHRONIC IODINE DEFICIENCIES AND THE USE OF IODORAL - AN IODINE/IODATE > SUPPLEMENT > Rowen, M.D. > You have been told that many breast and prostate cancers are caused by one > major nutritional deficiency. > What you may not know is how this same deficiency can also cause fatigue, > chronic illness (such as Graves' disease), and autoimmune diseases. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
why would there be one credible study anyway, since the only ones doing the investigating with adequte doses are the iodine docs?? someone has to be first. gracia Here is Chuck's critique... Gracia, We noted that every single citation has Guy Abraham as lead author, and every paper is in the Original Internist, a chiropractic magazine. I would think that if iodine really had all the magic properties he ascribes to it, that there would be at least one credible study supporting his claims. I'm still waiting to see one. Chuck [End Quote] Gracia did not provide the citations with the article, but yes they all cite Dr. Abraham...so it will take a lot of leg work (or should I say finger work), but fortunately, I'm very good at research and access to the Internet has extremely simplified that process, especially given that I'm a geek...lol Recent Activity a.. 4New Members Visit Your Group Meditation and Lovingkindness A Group to share and learn. Guest guest
i am not saying it's true/not true how many studies there are. I am interested in the research but usually don't understand science speak. it helps alot to have someone like brownstein or abraham translate it into laymans terms. also remember i have had HORRENDOUS experiences with allopathic medicine. i assume this treatment was all predicated on peer review blah blah blah. iodine docs make a lot more sense to me. gracia Gracia, this is simply not true...you must have missed the link I posted a few days ago to http://www.thyroidmanager.org/ (see table 8 of chapter 20) as just 1 example where there have been studies of the use of 2 - 4+ times the amount of iodine you are currently using. Studies such as this would actually help support your position...and make it easier, for those who don't surf the net as readily and easily as I am fortunate enough to do, to be able to access this information. Also, even Dr. Abraham, aka the 'Father of Thyroid' research, cites numerous other sources to support his writings...have you followed any of those citations back to their sources? Maybe I'm just abnormal or something, but I always follow the trail, unless of course it really isn't of any consequence in my life one way or the other. But when it comes to what I put into my body and I feel I might have to make those decisions without the assistance of 'qualified medical' personnel, then it is imperative to me that I have followed the sources to support my final decision! Unfortunately, many of your posts provide no trail 'to' follow... > > > why would there be one credible study anyway, since the only ones doing the investigating with adequte doses are the iodine docs?? someone has to be first. > gracia > > Here is Chuck's critique... > > Gracia, > > We noted that every single citation has Guy Abraham as lead author, and > every paper is in the Original Internist, a chiropractic magazine.
