Guest guest
The ldn community and the website refers to interferon as lowering immunity. Huh? Why though? I thought interferon was simply a chemical that the body produced in response to a viral infection. Like, when you get the flu, the body produces interferons and that keeps the virus from reproducing. The high temperature, aches and pains, and chills are side effects from the presence of interferons in the body, not the flu itself. The medical community refers to interferon treatment for ms as immunomodulating. I have read that people don't tend to develop colds while taking interferon treatment. So, what's up with all the talk about ab & r drugs being immunosuppressants? Am I missing something? PLEASE DON'T QUOTE ANYTHING FROM www.low dose naltrexone.org! I already went there bunch of times in the past just like everyone else who takes LDN. I want an opinion, not a cut and paste from the mind of Dr. Bihari. I take LDN every night but, all this talk about interferon being an immunosuppressant disturbs me. Its a credibility issue. Thank You.
